True message re-formatting to callers terminal. Messages are always displayed to callers
terminal wirllh. regardless of the original width ot the text.
Private messages. Users may send private mail that may be read only by the addressee.

Multi-level syslem security. BBS-PC allows up to 256 levels of security in both the
message base and the upload download database. Each user may be "enabled" or
"disabled" tor read, write, upload, download access in up to 16 sections.
Permanent user records. BBS-PC "remembers" each regular user and stares terminal
information, security access levels, last message read and other information.
Individual user passwords. BBS-PC users may assign Ihemseives a password which
prevents system access by unauthorized callers.

File uploading downloading. Users may upload or download files to BBS-PC in any
of 4 protocols, including XMODEM. and standard ASCII in both line and'or block
transmission modes.

BBS-PC is almost 100% self-maintaining. Message space is automatically reclaimed

when messages are deleted and messages will "roll" if necessary to support new
entries. SYSOP may control the maximum number of messages, file uploads, and user
m the user log.

Dual mode operation. BBS-PC is capable of operating in both "open" and "closed" modes.
Open mode allows users to add themselves as members, while closed mode offers a
higher level of security.
' Screen saver. While awaiting a caller BBS-PC will automatically disable the display
screen after 5 mtnutes of inactivity, minimizing screen burn.

DOS directory isolation. Users are 100% isolated from the host directory and DOS
environment. Upoad Download files are maintained by the system's own higher-level
software directory.

Hacker-proof. BBS-PC was designed from the outset to be as hacker-proof as possible.

Thus far. the syslem has NEVER been "crashed".
Instant carrier loss recovery. BBS-PC does not require a host "reset" on carrier loss or
other such nonsense Complete recovery is easily accomplished by the system, even
during file uploads and downloads.

> Support lor two modems. BBS-PC supports 1 or 2 command driven modems on either
COM pod With optional "dial-out' feature for relaying calls.
> Time clock protection. System supports both call limiting and a "sleep" timeout for
inactivity. These limes are configurable.

Completely configurable. Options to configure almost all aspects ol the system. Including
COM parameters, linefeed options, message base size, member base size, etc. Also
allows separate directory paths for these files.
> Message and tile upload queueing Allows SYSOP policing of bolh messages and
uploads BEFORE general access is permitted.

FAST By using complex ISAM routines. 8BS-PC is one of the fastest systems available.
Easily maintains 1200 or 2400 baud.
