The BUCN graduate shall:

1. Demonstrate desirable values and attitudes towards self, others and profession.
2. Practice evidence-based, safe and quality health care to individuals, family, population group, and communities towards the improvement of
the lives of the Filipinos in particular, and humankind in general.
3. Manifest fundamental leadership and management skills in various health care settings using innovative system-approach in the delivery of
client care.
4. Exemplify commitment to service in the promotion of health and prevention of illness, alleviation of suffering and restoration of health.
5. Actively participate in activities related to environmental health and climate change adaption, gender equality and development, and global

Course Description : The course aims to provide students with the general overview of Psychology. Emphasis is on the scientific approach to understand

human behaviour and mental processes particularly on the Filipino individual.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Classroom Behavior
Each student should attend class with all class materials including their textbook and homework. Each student will be expected to abide by all school rules
and regulations as outlined in the student handbook. In addition, each student should show courtesy, respect and consideration to their peers and the
instructor. No food, drink, or gum permitted, and no personal or group grooming is permitted. Each student is expected to put forth their best effort in all
class activities, to maintain the highest level of integrity and honesty in their work, and to ask for help when needed.

2. Homework and Class Work


No late work is accepted. Students will have a syllabus that they keep through each unit so that they can easily find out what the assignments are each
day. In addition, assignments will be written on the board, posted on the wall, and students will be required to record the homework of the day in their
Logbook. This logbook is to be taken home every evening to help the student keep organized and help the parent/guardian to keep up with their childs
class work. Homework is assigned every day the student has Algebra.

3. Computer-based Program Cognitive Tutor


Students will spend about 10% of class time working with the Geogebra software that parallels the lessons in the workbook. Students will be graded on the
completeness. This is a self-paced program and students will have to make up computer time before or after school, during a study hall period, or online if
they begin to fall behind.

4. Unit Test and Major Exams


At the end of each unit/topic, an exam will be given which will test students knowledge of the subject matter that was covered. Students are required to
show up on time and ready the day of a test. If a student has an excused absence the day of a test they must contact me immediately to set up a time for
a retake. They will have until the next meeting time make up the test before their grade begin to drop. Quizzes will be given in class and will occur
approximately halfway through each unit. Students must be in class to take quizzes. If a student plans to be absent for any reason, they must discuss it
with me prior to absence in order to make up any quizzes.

5. Excused Absences and Extra Help


When absent, each student should consult their syllabus or contact me or a classmate to keep up with class work and homework assignments. Any
scheduled class work, homework, tests and quizzes will be completed on the day the student returns to class. If a student misses and extended amount of
time from class, the student should contact me to schedule an appropriate time to discuss course work. Extra help can be arranged via appointment or
during posted consultation hours.
