FIRST YEAR DIPLOMA SELECTION LIST
The Malawi Polytechnic would like to inform the general public that the following have
been selected to start various diploma programs with the University of Malawi at The
Polytechnic in Blantyre. The programs are run during the weekend only.

OPENING DATE

The selected candidates are advised that the opening date for the first academic year is
Saturday, 27th May 2017.

NOTE: Students who applied for the following programs should get in touch
with the College Registrar or the Director, CEC
1. Diploma in Industrial Laboratory Technology
2. Diploma in Automobile Engineering
3. Diploma in Electronics and Computer Engineering

REGISTRATION and ORIENTATION

Registration will be conducted from 15th to 20th May 2017. Students are advised that
the College policy is NO FEES, NO REGISTRATION and therefore should be adhered
strictly. 20th May 2017 is planned for Orientation.

PAYMENT OF FEES

Fees for all students are K400, 000.00 per year, and should be paid in full at the
beginning of the academic year or in two (2) equal installments at the beginning of each
semester.
Students are expected to register within the first two (2) weeks of the semester
and only those who pay fees will be registered. Thereafter no more registration shall be
conducted.

Fees should only be paid in cash through the bank into the following account and no
student should bring cash or cheque direct to the College:

Students are required to present proof of payment in form of deposit slip to THE
DIRECTOR, CONTINUING EDUCATION CENTER.

Please include student name, program/course of study on the deposit slip and present it
to Continuing Education Center Office on arrival, and a receipt will be issued. Parents
and guardians are being informed that fees can be paid before the opening date to
avoid inconveniences. The fees cover tuition costs only. Students pay for all other
expenses including identity cards, accommodation, upkeep and stationery.
