Note:Oncetheclutchhasbeeninstalledontotheengine,hittheoutputshaftsharplyontheend.Thisis
doneinordertorelieveanypreload.

Usethefollowingproceduretoadjustthebearing:

1. Tightenthebearingretaineruntilthereisnoclearancebetweenthecupandthecone.

2. Loosenthebearingretainer.Loosenapproximatelythreenotches.

3. Assemblethelock.

4. Striketheoutputendoftheshaftinordertoseattheinnerbearingcupagainstthebearingretainer.

5. Theendplay(B)shouldbe0.15to0.25mm(0.006to0.010inch).

Note:Atorqueof295to392Nm(220to290lbft)onthesplinedclutchshaftisrequiredinorderto
engagetheclutch.
