Message from the Principal: Mark Weerts

The 2016-2017 monthly principal messages are dedicated to aspects of our
East Troy Community School District Policy on (P)ersonalized (L)earning
(E)nvironments. In brief, the policy states we are a school system that places
the individual learner at the center of the learning process. This policy and its

little different. The classrooms have a variety of seating arrangements and

choices. Over the summer, we plan to knock out two more walls in the grade
level wings to create greater opportunities for teaming, creativity and collabo-
rative practices. Our vision is to create science labs in these extra rooms that
will allow students to investigate and explore next generation science stand-
ards.
Unbelievably, the end of the school year is near! I want to take this oppor-
tunity to thank you, the parents, for a great year supporting our efforts and
achievements at Prairie View. I am honored to lead a talented staff and a car-
ing community that supports education!

Your children will go outside for recess on the blacktop and play-

Health Services
If your child is missing an item of clothing or perhaps a lunch box, please ask him/her
to check the lost and found in the cafeteria. There are tables and boxes filled with
coats, sweatshirts, boots, hats, etc. All items that are not claimed will be donated to
charity this summer.

If you havent already done so, its not to late to purchase a 2016-17 yearbook. These full
color books include pictures of Doubek and Prairie View students. The cost is $15.00.
Quantities are limited and they will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. If you wish
to purchase one, please send the money or check in an envelope with your childs name
and teachers name written on it.

Library Reminders:
May 26 - All checked out materials should be returned to the Prairie View Library.

June 1 - Summer library program check out day.

All students who have prescription medication, with the exception of inhalers, at school, must have
a parent or guardian pick up the medication by June 2nd. Inhalers and non-prescription medication
will be returned via backpack.
Attention: All 5th grade students! Wisconsin Student Immunization law requires a dose of Tdap
vaccine for students entering the 6th grade. Please contact your provider and schedule a.s.a.p. We
require this done by the 30th day of the new school year.
