VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Karanga Leather Industries Company Limited (KLIC) is established and jointly owned by PPF Pensions Fund and Prisons
Corporation Sole (PCS) for the purpose of developing and operationalization of the leather industry at Karanga Area, Moshi
Municipality.

The Karanga Leather Industries Company Limited (KLICL) intends to hire a Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Accountant who
possess considerable experience in the sector, who will be responsible for operationalization of the Leather Industry project. The
incumbents will also be responsible for preparation and implementation of short and long term strategic plans of the Company.

The Company is looking for an energetic, dynamic and proactive Tanzanians to fill the following vacant positions:-

1.0 DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

1.1 REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer will be reporting to the Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
1.2 JOB PURPOSE

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the overall management of the leather industries project
including implementation of short and long term strategic plans, oversee general business operations of the Company
and manage financial, physical resources and human resource. From time to time the Assistant Chief Executive Officer
will collaborate with experts and technical teams from the country and abroad in expediting various projects such as
installation of factory equipment and any other necessary undertakings.
1.3 JOB SPECIFICATIONS

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer will be a holder of a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration,
Finance, Economics, Public Administration or related fields from a recognized institution and shall have at least 10 years
experience and qualifications in the leather industries or industrial related works. Masters Degree and specific qualification
in the Leather industries is an added advantage. The incumbent will be innovative, self-driven with good business analytical
skills, strong communication skills (verbal and written) and must have a proven knowledge in Strategic Leadership.

1.4 KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(i) Responsible for overall management of leather industries project including implementation of short and long term
strategic plans;
(ii) Oversee general business operations of the company including management of financial, physical resource and
human resource;
(iii) To collaborate with experts and technical teams in expediting various projects relating to the installation of factory
machinery, equipments and any other related items;
(iv) Oversee procurement of goods, works and consultancies for a smooth operationalization of the company business;
(v) Ensure availability of raw materials for a smooth operation of the plant;
(vi) Put in place plan and strategy for marketing and sales of Karanga Leather Industries Co Ltd products within and
outside the country;
(vii) Design and operationalize the company internal business processes (financial, procurement and administrative) to
easy the implementation of company operations;
(viii) Set strategy for human resource management including strategy for human capital resourcing i.e. handling of specific
task, specific period and unspecified period employment contracts.
(ix) Promote institutional accountability, timely decision making and effective communication within the company;
(x) Any other relevant duties that will drive the business to success

2.0 ACCOUNTANT
2.1 REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The Accountant will be reporting to the Interim Accountant.
2.2 JOB PURPOSE

The Company Accountant will be responsible for proper financial management for the company. This includes risk analysis
and financial forecasting, preparing business plans, financial statements, budgets and reports, controlling company
income and expenditure. The company Accountant will also be responsible for analyzing monthly and annual financial
reports, developing and managing financial and accounting systems and administering the companys payroll. In absence
of Head of Human Resource and Administration, the Accountant will be responsible for overseeing human resource and
Administrative functions including human capital resourcing, welfare, estate management, employee medical services
and occupational health and safety matters.

2.3 JOB SPECIFICATIONS

The Accountant will be a holder of a Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounts, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration
or related fields from a recognized institution and shall have at least six (6) years experience in the leather industry or
related. Masters in respective discipline will be an added advantage. Must possess CPA (T) or related professional
qualifications from recognized Institution.
The incumbent will be innovative, self-driven with good business analytical skills, strong communication skills (verbal and
written) and must have a proven knowledge in Strategic Leadership.

2.4 KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(i) To prepare financial statements and financial reports


(ii) To monitor compliance with legal, accounting and audit requirements;
(iii) To supervise preparation and consolidation of the company budget;
(iv) To supervise budget performance reviews and develop and evaluate appropriate financial systems and procedures;
(v) To consolidate and produce corporate budget and plans and exercise overall budgetary control and develop Financial
Regulations and other relevant documents;
(vi) To process payments in line with procedures as set in the Financial Regulations and coordinate external audit
exercise;
(vii) To approve and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems
of the company;
(viii) Assist to coordinate procurement of goods, works and consultancies for a smooth operationalization of the company
business
(ix) Overseeing human resource and Administrative functions/activities, welfare, estate management, employee medical
services and occupational health and safety matters;

3.0 REMUNERATION
