DISKLESS SET-UP FOR NETWORK

Note: this is the hard guide for configuring the diskless set-up.

Sana kayo nalang mag-explore how tos para maintindihan ninyo anu itong pinagsasabi ko.

Kayo na rin po maghanap ng mga software na gusto niyo para sa diskless set-up at kayo na rin po sana
mag-hanap ng mga solution if theres an error in your set-up.. like bsod/pxe exiting rom/ etc. sa mga
master neto alam na nila ano itong guide na ito..

At tsaka I know hard guide ito sa mga beginners tulad ko.

CONFIGURING YOUR ISP/ROUTER/HUB/NETWORK SET-UP:

1. DETERMINE WHAT IS YOUR ISP IP (DYNAMIC/FIXED IP)

2. DETERMINE YOUR ROUTERs Ip configuration

1.1 first is to configure your isps ip (must be Disable the dynamic/dhcp.

If you get your fixed ip after you disabled your dhcp in your isps modem. (must remember it)

Sample: Globe ISP : DHCP ENABLED : 192.168.254.254

DHCP DISABLED : 192.168.254.100 THIS IS YOUR ISP FIXED IP FOR YOUR ISPS SERVER

2.1 SAME AS CONFIGURING YOUR ISPS FIXED IP

SAMPLE: DHCP ENABLED : 192.168.1.1

DHCP DISABLED : 192.168.1.100 THIS IS YOUR ISP FIXED IP FOR YOUR ROUTERS SERVER

CONNECTING THE TWO IP FOR YOUR SERVER

FIRST THING TO DO IS MAKE THE ROUTER AND ISP CONNECTED AS ONE

NOW HOW TO DO IT IS SIMPLE MAKE YOUR ISP MODEM AS DHCP DISBALED AND LEAVE THE OTHERS
CONFIGURE AS DEFAULT
SECOND IS MAKE YOUR ROUTER AS FIXED IP. ROUTER WILL GIVE EACH PC A FIXED IP ADDRESS.

NOW IN YOUR SERVER GO TO YOUR NETWORK AND SET-UP YOUR IP4 ADDRESS MANNUALLY BECAUSE
OUR DHCP IS DISABLED WE MUST INPUT THE CORRECT IP/SUBNET/GATEWAY/DNS

THATS IT WE ALREADY CONFIGURE OUR NETWORK FOR PREPARATION IN OUR DISKLESS SET-UP

CONFIGURING OUR SERVER FOR DISKLESS

FIRST THING IS TO FORMAT OR MAKE A CLEAN INSTALLATION OF WINDOWS (ANY)

SECOND IS TO INSTALL ALL UPDATES LIKE (ADOBE FLASH, NETFRAMEWORK, REDISTRIBUTABLE,DIRECT X

ETC.)

THIRD IS TO DISBALE UNNECESSARY SERVICES LIKE (FIREWALL,WINDOWS UPDATES, WINDOWS

DEFENDER, RESTORE POINTS, ETC. )

FOURTH IS TO INSTALL OUR DISKLESS SOFTWARE

FINALLY WE MUST CONFIGURE OUR HDD/SSDS DRIVE FOR caching,gamedisk, etc.

Configuring client for the diskless

First is we must clean install the client hdd.

Make a small partition preferred 15-20 gb only

Second is to delete the 100 mb system reserved in windows installation. How to delete the 100 mb
system partition:
( for shortcut method we must First is to partition your hdd in a bootable partition software like hiren,
acronis, mini partition etc.)

After we install all the necessary applications in windows and drivers for Lan Network we must set-up
our ip address

After that, install the diskless software for client and restart the pc

After we restart the pc we must try first if our server and client if they find each other..

Finally upload our system drive c: in server for image

Boot.. last and final job is to try our client if it can boot through network!!
