0 Design Research

For this section of the report, investigation and research were carried out on the existing designs
available. Several methods are applied to obtain all the necessary information. Firstly, we reviewed a total of
3 articles regarding the tracking of human motion and decided to analyse four of those for this part of the
report. There were a few specific keywords used to find and identify the suitable and useful articles and also
journals. These relatable keywords such as motion tracking, motion of limbs, limb movements, and human
limb motion. On the other hand, a research was carried out to study more about the components used in the
journals design project. The components analysed shared common aspects to our project as well.
Microcontroller was researched using Google search engine. In order to have easier comprehension of the
information obtained, benchmarking was done to identify the differences and similarities comparison
between all the designs.
