ADORATION
(For each invocation the response is: *To you be praise and glory forever)

Body of Christ conceived of the Blessed Virgin Mary*

Body of Christ, sacrificed on the cross*
Body of Christ, risen from the tomb*
Blood of Christ, price of our ransom*
Blood of Christ, the seal of new alliance*
Blood of Christ, drink of eternal life*

Let us pray:
Lord Jesus Christ,
You gave us the Eucharist as the memorial of your suffering and death.
May our worship of this sacrament of your body and blood
help us to experience the salvation you won for us
and the peace of the kingdom where you live
with the Father and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever.

PRAYERS FOR THE HOLY FATHER

Let us pray for our Holy Father, Pope John Paul II,
that the Lord, Who has chosen him, grant him life
and health and preserve him to His holy Church.
Father of Providence, look with love on John Paul II,
our Pope, your appointed successor to Saint Peter
on whom you built your Church. May he be the
visible center and foundation of our unity in faith
and love. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
your Son , who lives and reigns with you and the
Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

PRAYER BEFORE THE CROSS

Behold, O gentle Jesus,

I cast myself upon my knees in your sight
and with the most fervent desire of my soul
I pray and beseech you to impress upon my heart
lively sentiments of faith, hope and charity;
with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself
and mentally contemplate your five most precious wounds;
having before my eyes that which David spoke in prophecy:
"They have pierced my hands and my feet;
they have numbered all my bones"
(Psalm 22:17-18)
