z What does the d stand for? Would
z Structure:

ID RATHER + SUBJECT + PAST SIMPLE
(either + or -).
Id rather you bought salmon instead of cod.
Id rather you didnt tell Joanne about this.
If the subject is the same in both clauses:
ID RATHER + INFINITIVE
((either + or -).

Its so cold that Id rather stay indoors.

z Meaning: similar to Conditional 2.
