Cosmetic Repair Mortar and Thin Fairing Coat

Description SikaRefit is a ready for use, polymer modified cementitious mortar
with silica fume designed as a high quality sealing mortar.

Uses SikaRefit is used for profiling, infilling and cosmetic repairs to all types
of structural concrete.

Handling Precautions SikaRefit contains cement and is alkaline. Suitable precautions
should be taken to minimize direct contact with the skin. Should he
material enter the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek
medical attention.

Instruction For Use

Surface Preparation All surface to be treated should be free from loose dirt, dust etc. and
be in a moist condition during placing. Any free surface water must be
removed and cracks repaired before application.

Mixing Care should be taken to ensure that SikaRefit is thoroughly mixed. It can
be hand mixed in small amounts easily up to 2-3 kg. for a very
small area of application. Add SikaRefit to the water and handmix
thoroughly with a spatula or trowel until a smooth workable consistency is
achieved.

For large application, mechanical mixing (of the whole bag) using a
drill and a paddle is advisable. Pour the powder into a suitable vessel
containing the measured quantity of water gradually stirring well with
a low speed electric mixer for at least 3 minutes avoiding entrapped air.

The recommended water/powder ratio must be strictly adhered to.

Application Mix to the desired consistency and apply using the edge of a float or trowel
in 1 or 2 coats. Intervals between coats is between 2-3 hours depending on
ambient condition.

Curing -SikaRefit cures with minimal shrinkage. To prevent premature
drying out of the mortar, keep it moist if exposed to quick drying
conditions.
- Standrd curing methods are recommended.

Cleaning Application and mixing tools should be cleaned with water while
material is still fresh. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
