The position, as program coordinator Greece, you are advertising retained all my attention. Holding a
Masters degree in Environment, Science and Society from UCL University in London, I am
writing this letter to share my motivation with you for the position. During my years at university, I
gained a great insight on the analytical and conceptual skills necessary to work on developmental
projects. Furthermore, the statistical tools I have used in my Masters dissertation gave me the chance
to add to the qualitative work, quantitative analyses for a broader understanding of the project
engineering cycle.

To complete and reinforce my academic background, I applied the project engineering concepts
while working on different projects. As a fundraising assistant at Friends of FOKAL, I could defend
and promote the NGOs missions and develop a trusting relationship with the donors on our capacity
to reach the objectives and deliver concrete results based on the strategies agreed upon. My
knowledge of the project cycle was strengthened at the International Center for Agricultural Research
in Dry Area (ICARDA) in Aleppo, Syria. As a research assistant, I assessed the health impacts of
wastewater use along the Qweik River. The study, done in an intricate socio-political context, kick
started a dialogue on the treatment of industrial and domestic wastes and the implications wastewater
use in agriculture could have on childrens health.

To consolidate my experience in Syria, I did a mission in Beirut, Lebanon with the European
Institute for Cooperation and Development (IECD). As a monitoring and evaluation officer, I was in
charge of evaluating the educational project in place; collecting, organizing and analyzing qualitative
and quantitative data to monitor the impact and measure the achievements of the services provided to
the children refugees. In addition to this main task, I also supported the IECD team in responding to
requests for proposals.

Finally, my experience at United Way France as a project manager allowed me to work with
companies in engaging their employees on projects benefiting vulnerable people in their community.
As a coordinator, I worked with volunteers employees on an engagement framework to launch and
experiment with them in 2016 and with the objective to expend the activities to other companies in
2017. More than involving corporates into solidarity projects, we started a dynamic where different
community actors work in collaboration to facilitate the mid and long terms integration of vulnerable
publics.

Given my academic and professional experience I am convinced that my qualifications match the
program coordinator Greece position you are looking for. Moreover, it is my belief that, to work with
Secours Islamique France will provide a support in the coordination of your activities in Greece.
