ENGLISH PHONETICS AND PHONOLOGY

DESCRIPTION OF ASSESSMENT AND GUIDELINE

At week 1, students set groups of 3-4 and choose one chapter in the course book to - Preparation: slides, research,

Students perform their roll-playing or voice-over in class at week 15. Each students
performance will be somewhere between 150 240 seconds in length.
At week 1, students receive a file of Pronunciation Exercises. They keep practicing on their pronunciation with the exercises
Pronunciation Practice in the file starting week 2. Each of them meets individually with their instructor at week 3 - 7 for comments and instructions
on their pronunciation.

1. When submitting your assignments to your instructor, make sure that your email has content. Do not just send attachments in an empty
email. Make sure that you name your email subject and your attached file after the following syntax OR IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Example: Student Nguyn Th Bch Mai with student ID 102057 who takes the class in Thurday morning and wants to submit her
assignment 2 with 1st recording of All about eyes is expected to:

- Fill the subject of her email with: Phonetics & Phonology Thursday morning
- Name her attached file as: Mai Nguyen Thi Bach Assignment 2 All about eyes (1st)

The recording must be sent from your HSU student account

2. Failure to commit to assignment requirements and deadlines will result in a penalty to your score. One point (of ten point grade scale) will be
subtracted from your correlative assignment score for each day of late submission.
