QUESTION 1.
In chapter 7, British Army General Freeland adopted a very harsh policy by
imposing a curfew and cracking down on those innocent residents in the Lower
Falls. Even some were killed and maimed by the soldiers. The British soldiers
gave up as pram-pushing women who braved to feed the starving children of the
Lower Fallers started the tsunami waves of people coming out of their houses.
The author mentions the underlying reasons for this British armys failure in
accomplishing its goal in the Lower Fallers. What is that reason ? and
state your opinion on this point.

In Chapter 8, we can see such a stark contrast between Mike Reynolds and
Wilma Derksen, especially in their respective reactions to their childs death.
In your opinion, whose reaction would be better in terms of your perspective, be
it a religious vantage point, a social science framework, or otherwise.

In Chapter 9, you may have some moving moments or descriptions in this
chapter, since this chapter tells about a unique town village named Le
Chambon-sur-Lignon, which had been home to a variety of religious asylum
seekers through ages and to the persecuted Jewish people in the heyday of
Nazis rule in Europe. If you are moved by some segment or fact, or action of
some figures in this chapter, state it or them and explain or describe why it is so.
If, unfortunately, none of the chapter gives you any feeling, so confessing you
are phlegmatic and impassive, then just state it and provide your reasoning for
