of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) with the aim of recruiting professionals to
work for Taiwanese enterprises.
Please read through the following information carefully. It will help your company to
use the site more effectively. It also explains your rights and obligations with respect to
the Contact Taiwan website.

1. Contact TAIWAN hereby informs you of the following in accordance with the
Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL).

Name of government agency: Department of Investment Services, Ministry of


Economic Affairs

Purpose of collection: Establishment of a matchmaking platform for job-seekers


and enterprise members to promote and increase matchmaking opportunities
for job seekers and enterprise members through analysis, integration, and
processing of personal information.

Personal information categories: Name, date of birth, e-mail address, current


working location and country, nationality, working experience, length of working
experience, and other kinds of personal information necessitated by the
purposes of collection.

Time period: Your personal information will be kept indefinitely for the purpose
of collection of this website; however, this website has the right to delete your
information under circumstances such as website upgrading, maintenance, and
re-constrcuction.

Target: Hiring enterprises, Ministry of Economic Affairs units in charge (including


overseas offices), and program executors (including the Contact Taiwan website).

Areas of use: Areas where enterprises and their overseas branches are located.
Methods of personal information utilization: Telephone, internet, e-mail, paper
document and fax.

How to exercise your rights under the Personal Information Protection Act: With
regard to your personal information, subject to the applicable laws, you are
entitled to (i) make inquiries or request a review, and request duplications; (ii)
request supplements or corrections; and (iii) request discontinuation of
collection, processing or use of your personal information, and request deletion
of the same, but the requests may not be followed in accordance with the laws in
case that is necessary for the relevant agencies to perform their duties or
conduct their business; and (iv) if there is any marketing activity involved in the

It is not compulsory for members to provide personal information; however, the


denial of provision will decrease your opportunity to enjoy full matchmaking
services via the platform.

2. All of the services provided by the Contact Taiwan website are free of charge. The
site provides job seeker and job vacancy matching services for the use of
companies, academic institutions, and research institutions seeking to recruit
overseas talent to come and work in Taiwan. Please fill out the form correctly to
ensure your companys rights. After your company has sent its details to Contact
Taiwan, the Contact Taiwan website will review its qualifications. This review process
will normally take 1-3 working days, and you will be notified of the results by e-mail.
Only those companies that successfully complete the review process will be
accepted as members and thus be able to enjoy the various services that are
available to members.
3. Please do not give any of your personal information regarding your registration on
this website to other people. Your company is responsible for ensuring that your
account number and password are not used by any third party. You are therefore
responsible for all actions taken after entering the Contact Taiwan website using
your account number and password, regardless of whether such actions were
authorized by you.

4. The information that your company transmits to the Contact Taiwan website may
not contain any falsehoods, slander, obscene language, threats, insults, or
expressions of hatred or insinuations directed at particular individuals or groups.
Furthermore, the information transmitted to the website may not contain or
constitute any violation of patents or other intellectual property rights, nor may it
violate any laws or regulations.

5. Your company's field of business may not include recruitment services (the business
field of the Contact Taiwan website) or any related field of business, such as

Contact Taiwan website has the right to reject your application to become a
member of the Contact Taiwan website or to cancel your membership if you are
already a member.

6. With regard to the selection of job applicants and the subsequent interview and
hiring processes, your company should make decisions based on its own judgment
as any business enterprise would do and should undertake all necessary review of
the information submitted by job applicants.

7. Your company understands that the placing of job vacancy advertisements on the
Contact Taiwan website does not imply that Contact Taiwan is under any obligation
or bears any responsibility in the event that a company seeking to fill a job vacancy
is unable to find a suitable applicant, or in the event of a dispute arising between a
company seeking to fill a job vacancy and a job-seeker.
No claims or requests will be entertained, and companies seeking to fill job
vacancies may not disseminate information that could be harmful to the reputation
of the Contact Taiwan website.

8. If your company recruits a new employee through the Contact Taiwan website, you
are required to notify Contact Taiwan either by telephone, fax, or e-mail.

9. To assist in talent recruitment, the job vacancies and information that your
company posts on the Contact Taiwan website may be used in various ways or at
various events, such as overseas offices, overseas associations and recruitment
activities.

10. Due to the system security and mail server capacity of the Contact Taiwan page,
each member enterprise is limited to 50 mail contacts per day. Please use personal
data with great care. We wish you success in your recruiting efforts.

11. Contact Taiwan shall have the right to modify the rights and obligations listed in
this document at any time. The announcement of such modifications will be made
on the Contact Taiwan website. Contact Taiwan will not issue separate notifications
to individual members.

opportunities to enjoy a fully provided matchmaking services
performed by the platform.

2. All of the services provided by the Contact Taiwan website are free of
charge. We offer global talents and overseas students a ONE-STOP
employment matchmaking service for working and living in Taiwan.
Therefore, please fill out the form correctly to ensure your rights. After
sending your details to Contact Taiwan, we will review your
qualifications. Job seeker who has successfully completed the
application process will receive membership approval within one to
three working days by email. Upon approval, you will be able to enjoy
various services that are available to job seeking members.

3. When job seekers membership are approved, their uploaded


resumes or filled in information on the website will be transferred
automatically to the recruiters in accordance with different job
requirements; recruiters could also set job requirements to search for
candidates.

4. Job seekers should fill in your real name, phone, email address, home
address, education, work experience, etc. Contact Taiwan reserves the
right to reject information containing false statements, incompletion,
exaggeration and slander or obscene languages.
5. Please do not give any of your personal information regarding your
registration of this website to other people. Job seeker is responsible
for ensuring that your account number and password are not used by
any third party. Job seeker is also required to close your resume status
and notify Contact Taiwan either by telephone, fax, or e-mail when you
have successfully found a job.

6. Job seeker understands that posting resumes on Contact Taiwan


website does not imply that Contact Taiwan is under any obligation or
bears any responsibility in the event that a job seeker is unable to find a
suitable job, or in the event of a dispute arising between recruiter and

Qualifications and Criteria Standards for foreigners undertaking the jobs specified
under Article 46.1.1 to 46.1.6 of the Employment Service Act:

An employer of Domestic company who is to hire a foreigner as set forth in


Subparagraph 15 of Article 4, Articles 22, 23, 29, Subparagraphs 1 to 4 and 7 of
Article 31, Articles 34 or 35 shall meet one of the following requirements:

(1) Established for less than one (1) year, and its paid-up capital has reached five
million (5,000,000) New Taiwan Dollars and above, or average turnover, actual
import and export revenue, or commission has reached ten million (10,000,000)
New Taiwan Dollars and above, one million (1,000,000) United States dollars and
above, or four hundred thousand (400,000) United States dollars and above,
respectively.
(2) Established for more than one (1) year, and its average turnover, actual import
and export revenue, or commission in the most recent year or for the past three (3)
years has reached no less than ten million (10,000,000) New Taiwan Dollars, one
million (1,000,000) United States dollars, or four hundred thousand (400,000)
United States dollars, respectively.

"Qualification Requirements for Innovation-driven Startups", which are as follows:

Companies registered under Taiwan's Company Act or Business Registration Act


for less than five years, and meeting one of the following conditions:

i. Having already received at least NT$2 million in investment from domestic or


foreign venture capital firms.

ii. Having already registered on the Go Incubation Board for Startup and
Acceleration Firms, GreTai Securitites Market, Financial Supervisory Commission
(GISA).

iii. Having applied to obtain an invention patent in Taiwan, or having had a patent
assigned or licensed for implementation by the holder of a Taiwanese invention
patent and registered with the Intellectual Property Office, Ministry of Economic
Affairs.

iv. Incubators already based in the international startup cluster in Taipei approved
by the Executive Yuan or directly operated by or cooperating with the Ministry of
Economic Affairs and which have been rated as Quality Incubators by the Ministry
in the last three years (see Appendix 1).
v. The applying enterprise or its head has participated in received awards in major
domestic or overseas entrepreneurship and design competitions (see Appendix 2).
