Operations Management

Manage the daily operations of his section to ensure that work processes are
implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and
procedures
Manage the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company and
department requirements, policies and standards
Labor scheduling and organization

The organizations and shift patterns have been determined


Vacations, holidays, are anticipated and planned so the production will be
guarantied
Production priorities are revisited on a continuous basis to optimize efficiency,
service level / maintenance programs
Performance management & continuous improvement

Leads the FDS process for the cell (Daily,..shiftily,etc)


The right KPIs have been determined and are in place at all level of the
organization and in particular for operators on the floor
Short Interval Management principles are applied by all the FLM (First Line
Managers)
Continuous improvement initiatives are being conducted in the whole department
(zoning, 5S, problem solving, )
The appropriate maintenance programs and resources are in place
Quality - Sanitation
All important instructions are turned into SOPs workable on the floor
Inspections are done as requested. In particular, the Dairy Preventative
Maintenance programs to ensure proper operating equipment and prevent micro
contaminations and risk of foreign objects.
Defects on products or processes are identified, analyzed, and corrective actions
in place so that they dont appear again.
Safety
All agreed inspections, investigations, training programs, continuous improvement
initiatives,are carried out
Communication, social relations

The relevant communication processes exist (team meetings, posting, cascade) in


order to guaranty a good working climate, team work, and efficiency between
departments
Management of the team
The missions and targets of the team exist and are communicated
Ensure that the rules of the site are respected (Health & Hygiene, Safety,
Discipline)
Skills and competences of the whole team are evaluated. A training plan is put in
place and updated on a permanent basis. Hiring is conducted when needed
People Management
Manage the activities and work of subordinates and evaluate their performance by
providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within a specific
area is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual
targets
Stimulate subordinates and manage the identification of opportunities for
continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account
international best practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction
and productivity improvement
Policies, Processes & Procedures
Recommend enhancements and improvements to departmental policies
Direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of his
area activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are
fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective services
Safety, Quality & Environment
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management
policies, procedures and controls across the section in order to guarantee employee
safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude
