1. Job
purpose
The
position
of
Head
of
Development
is
designed
to
facilitate
ongoing
evolution
of
the
Academy
so
as
to
achieve
and
maintain
the
highest
possible
academic,
musical
and
professional
standards.
Working
closely
with
the
Director,
you
will
develop
relationships
with
corporations,
philanthropists
and
foundations

RIAMs

3. Duties
and
Responsibilities
Leadership
Treat
all
colleagues,
students
and
contacts
with
respect
and
in
accordance
with
the

Participate
in
and
undertake
the
RIAMs
Strategic
Planning
development
and
delivery
Manage
defined
budgets
for
your
area,
under
the
direction
of
the
Finance
Officer
and
Director
Operations
Be
responsible
for
the
day-to-day
management
of
your
area
in
all
of
its
aspects,
including
liaising
with
the
General
Office
and
secretariat
Participate
in
RIAM
events
and
initiatives
as
required
and
within
the
scope
of
the
role
Regular
contact
and
liaison
will
also
be
required
with
the
proposed
Head
of
Artistic
Planning
and
the
Ensembles
in
respect
of
performance
projects
that
may
require
outside
support
Undertake
any
other
duties
as
may
reasonably
be
required
by
the
Director
To
ensure
your
own
safety
and
that
of
other
persons
who
may
be
affected
by
your
work
activities

apply

4. Relationships
Line Manager:

regular
contact

the
Director,
Finance
Officer,
Head
of
Artistic
Programming,
Heads
of
Faculty,
ICT
Manager,
Local
Centre
and
General
Offices
within
the
RIAM.
You
will
also
have
regular
contact

colleagues

across
the
RIAM.

the

professional
music
training

Teacher

Non-Professional
Musician

RIAMs
Local
Centre
Examination
System
will
expand
from
an
examination
board

the
RIAM
Music
Education

music
education
system

examination
and
other
activities

a
national
and
global
reach.

Irish

Stage
The
Academys
diverse
public
programme

music

developed

Irelands

the
Academys

RIAM

RIAM
Westland
Row

accessible

teaching,

World-class
music
conservatoire.
