There are differences exist between rise and fall method and HPC method when dealing with

the
calculation part . HPC method only involved in few calculation . Therefore , HPC method is much more
easier and simpler to deal with the calculation compared to rise and fall method . To check the
reduced level of intermediate points , only rise and fall method can be used . So , the errors in the
intermediate reduce levels only can be detected by rise and fall method as all the points are
correlated . When checking the accuracy of the reduced level of calcution , three checks can be used
in rise and fall method whereas the HPC method only can do two checks . Thus , rise and fall method
is more preferable to check leveling where number of change points . HPC method is much more
convenient with longitudinal leveling but rise and fall method is more prefer with fly leveling .
