One-pack alkyd resin based primer. Fast drying and
Base Alkyd resin, solvent containing
anti-corrosive. Chromate and lead free. Universally
applicable. Density 1,4 g/cm3
Solids content 49 % by volume, 67 % by weight
Field of Applications Coverage 0,06 kg/m2 at 20 m DFT (15 % thinned)
Renitherm Primer AK 2 is especially designed for the 0,12 kg/m2 at 40 m DFT (5 % thinned)
renitherm re protective system on steel. Can be used 0,24 kg/m2 at 80 m DFT (unthinned)
as shop primer (suitable for ame cutting and weld-
able), as normal primer at 40 m DFT or high build Drying time: touch dry
primer at 80 m DFT. 10 minutes at 20 m

Application overcoatable
Surface preparation: shotblasting to Sa 2 1/2 12 hours at 40 m
Application temperature: > +5 C 8 hours at 80 m
Humidity: 80 % RH
Material preparation: Stir thoroughly. Thinner Packaging
should be added acc. to the Renitherm Primer AK 2 comes in steel drums of 28 kg
requirements as follows: net, colour grey.
