In support of my application, I wish to highlight the following work experience and qualifications relevant to
this job. First, I will respond to the following questions:
I have experience working with many donors when I worked with UNFPA in Sierra Leone and Sudan. I assisted many
of UNFPA funded partners in developing project proposals and most was successful.
I have any experience in negotiating with donors, or representing my organization in a formal setting. In UNFPA, I
was delegated with the role of directly managing approvals of project grants to partners on project less than $20000 I
used to approve. Project proposals of more than $20000 will be forwarded to my supervisor. As head of UNFPA Of-
fice in South Darfur Sudan, I have sat in meetings with donors including USAID, DFID and UNAIDS during rounds
of program support to partners, especially those that UNFPA also has funded. I have experience in monitoring and
evaluation. As a UNFPA head of Office in South Darfur for 3 years, I have experience working to ensure that project
implementation proposal, implementations and reporting responded to M&E indicators.
On a proficiency language scale between 1 and 10, 10 being native speaker, my English is 8; French is 1 and can al-
ways improve with needs and opportunities. I am available for this assignment with immediate effect. In the most
recent time 2015-2016 I was NGO Consultant for Ambibol Diabetes Foundation, Lagos Nigeria to which I
provided distance based technical support through the Skype. In South Darfur Sudan 2007 to 2010 I have
worked as UNFPA Team Leader and responsible for the technical improvement and financial system de-
velopment in the performance accountability of partners. I managed and led the technical officers support-
ing UNFPA partners including NGOs, CBOs and State Government Official thus contributed to improved
RH/HIV/AIDS/ SGBV/Adolescent RH projects deliverables. As a team leader I discharged the ensuring
quality project implementation by our partners including monitoring and supervision of projects that ensured
that partners implemented their contracted activities according to UNFPA Policies and Procedures (PPM).
The same will imply for ACF. In South Darfur and Sudan I have worked in various capacities that involved
development and nurturing UNFPA relationship with partners including through monthly, quarterly and an-
nual program review meetings and sharing report of joint field supervision. As a Team leader UNFPA South
Darfur I managed UNFPA projects relationship with the State Government and Government Ministries
Health, Education and Social Development and other Agencies through Memorandum of Understanding
MOUs. I facilitated team members in carrying out periodical project monitoring visits to stakeholders. With
ARC International in Sierra Leone, as the Global Technical Adviser HIV and Adolescent Reproductive
Health, I reported to ARC Global Program Director in the USA monthly and never fail my schedule time for
reports. Also, I wish to state that I have field experience in contributing effectively emergency preparedness
and responses actions, contingency planning and early warning responses. Emergency preparedness is
effectively arranged using the country contingency plans and early warning mechanisms. Emergency pre-
paredness and response actions that address gender issues and the adolescent population at risks of Sex-
ually Transmission of HIV infections will be intensified under the emergencies intervention. I have field ex-
periences to ensure that the action plans are in compliance with the Organisational Plans. I have enough
field leadership experience to strengthen my success factors on reducing behavioural, cultural and envi-
ronmental risk predisposition to dangers in the affected populations. As an experienced Programme Coor-
dinator and manager, I will consistently and timely manage the flow of humanitarian situation information,
documentation and reporting within the office. Given the opportunity that this application will favourably
considered, I am looking forward to significantly contribute improvements in the efforts of my team, bringing
into bear my past working experiences in Government of Nigeria, The UNFPA, NGOs in Nigeria, Sierra
Leone, Sudan and the UK. I have experience in preparing project proposals and working together with
partners to mobilise donor contributions to social recovery, stability and development. I have worked at high
level of my professional context that has given me enough confidence in providing leadership as may be
delegated especially on effective, continuous and stable coordination in collaboration with the Govern-
ments, UN agencies, donors, NGOs and Community leaders.
