The Sixth Convocation of B.S. Abdur Rahman University will be held
at 02.30 p.m. on Sunday, the 20th November, 2016 to award the degrees to the
Graduands of the following Programmes who graduated during May / July 2016.

1. All Ph.D Programmes

2. M.Tech.(Structural Engg.), M.Tech.(CE&PM), M.Tech.(PSE),
M.Tech.(PE&D),M.Tech.(Communication Systems), M.Tech.(VLSI), M.Tech.
(EIE), and MBA.

3. B.Tech. (Civil Engg.), B.Tech. (EEE), B.Tech. (ECE), B.Tech. (EIE), B.Arch.

There will be a rehearsal at 11.00 a.m on the same day. Hence all the graduands
of the above programmes who wish to receive the degree in person should be present in the
campus latest by 9.30 a.m. Registration will be closed by 10.30 a.m. Those who do
not register and participate in the rehearsal of convocation will not be allowed to
attend the the convocation in the afternoon.

Those who wish to receive their degrees in person must send a Demand Draft
obtained in any nationalized bank for Rs 750/- drawn in favour of The Registrar,
B.S. Abdur Rahman University Chennai 48 payable at Chennai.

Graduates are strictly informed that only Two persons (their parents only)
can accompany them. Children are strictly not allowed.

The students who wish to receive the degree in absentia either by post or through
their parents shall send a sum of Rs 300/- in the form of a Bank draft drawn in favour of
the Registrar, B.S.Abdur Rahman University, Chennai 48, along with a letter authorizing the
parents to receive the degree on their behalf or requesting to send the degree to their
address. For such graduates who do not attend the convocation, their degrees will be
issued only from 21.11.2016 onwards.

 The Chief Guest for the Convocation is Dr. V.K. Saraswat, Member National
Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog), Former Chief Scientific Advisor to
Ministry of Defence, Secretary Defence R&D and Director DRDO.

Please confirm your participation immediately and in any case on or before

14.11.2016 along with the bank draft in the enclosed form.

Lunch will be provided for the Graduands and two other accompanying persons
(Parents) only who will be attending the Convocation.

Such of those students who have dues to Hostel/University office/Management shall

clear the dues and obtain No Dues Certificate from the concerned office before
registration.

INSTRUCTION TO THE GRADUANDS:

1. Please do not bring children.

2. Kindly switch off your mobile Phones inside the Convocation Hall.
3. Personal Photography / Video is Prohibited.
4. Brief cases, bags etc., are not allowed inside the venue of the Convocation.
5. Please stand up when the Academic procession enters the Convocation hall and
remain standing till all the dignitaries occupy their seats.
6. After National Anthem continue to stand till all the members of the Academic
procession leaves the Convocation hall.
