With the new improved second
generation CALI- Liquid Level
Detector, you give your personnel the
easiest and most precise way to make
sure your Halon or CO* supply cylinders
or spheres are loaded for business at
all times - you make it easier to check
tanks on a regular basis.
The new CALI- Detector,
patented by Chemetron, makes it
possible for a trained operator to
quickly determine liquid levels with
precision - within 1/8th of an inch -
and finish the job without disconnecting
or moving the container.
Description
The new CALI- Detector is a
compact portable battery-operated
device that uses ultrasonic technology
to locate levels. The battery is enclosed
in the unit housing and may be re-
charged thousands of times using an
AC adapter supplied with the unit.
When battery power is too low for an
accurate reading, special circuitry
renders the unit inoperative, and
indicates the need to recharge.
Two container probes are available to
assure maximum accuracy and versatili-
ty: a red probe for heavy-wall 600 psi
and CO2 cylinders; a blue probe for 360
psi cylinders and spherical containers.
A convenient carrying case with
shoulder strap keeps hands free.
Operation
Insert the appropriate probe into the
CALI- Detector. Switch power on
by turning the Select switch to either
CO2 or Halon. Place the probe against
the top area of the container, and turn
the Gain switch until the meter
indicates that the gain is properly
adjusted. Move the probe up and down
the container wall until the meter and/or
