VIP Set to Make Major Announcement in Asheville, July 6

June 30, 2017 (RALEIGH, NC) On Thursday, July 6, at 4 PM, the Director of the Voter Integrity Project, Jay DeLancy,
will be in Asheville to announce a major crowd-sourced research project that will investigate certain non-US citizens
participation in the 2016 election and to address the Asheville TEA Party at their regular 6 PM meeting.

One reason we selected Asheville for this announcement is because the Asheville TEA Party has some of the most
dedicated citizen patriots in the entire state, DeLancy said. This new project will take lots of elbow grease, but the results
may lead to quite a few criminal prosecutions for vote fraud.

DeLancys evening speech will address the status of HB 29/SB 60, a measure that will force Clerks of Court to share vital
information with election boards if jury prospects are disqualified for jury duty for any reason impacting the prospective
jurors eligibility to vote. It would also make it easier to prosecute persons who lie to evade jury duty.

Every year, in North Carolina, thousands of jury prospects are disqualified from having their names on the jury list
because they either moved from the county, theyre felons, or theyre non-US citizens, said DeLancy. The court clerks
have this information but they used a novel interpretation of the jury list maintenance laws to keep the public in the dark.
Senate Bill 60 will eliminate that alibi and force court clerks to do their sworn duty to uphold the Constitution.

A similar bill passed the House in 2013 and 2015, but was killed both times in the Senate by the (now retired) Senator Tom
Apodaca, who was Chairman of the powerful Senate Rules Committee, and whose district covered Buncombe, Henderson
and Transylvania Counties. Details on VIPs 5-year effort to pass this law can be found at this link. Florida and Kansas
already have laws that make public any jury disqualification data, since persons who are disqualified are in no danger of
being pressured from gangs or family members of people who are on trial.

Some other states already have this measure on their books but Tom Apodaca prevented it in North Carolina, said
DeLancy. The fact that its still being blocked in the Senate raises serious questions about current Senate Pro Tem, Phil
Berger.

House Bill 29, a parallel bill with the exact wording as SB 60, passed the House with bi-partisan support, 74 to 40. Along
with SB 60, it stalled in the Senate, but both bills are eligible for passage during either the short session in 2018 or any
emergency sessions the leadership may call over election integrity matters.

When asked the other reason that VIP selected Asheville for the announcement, DeLancy said, Because Asheville is
relevant!

The group recently sued Wake Countys Board of Elections and settled the case during the court-ordered mediation phase.
