Reference to the above subject, we hereby have NO OBJECTION for your proposed work subject to the following
conditions and attached Drawings / Documents.

General Conditions :
* Shop drawing NOC issued for the proposed 11KV diversion and extension of ducts as shown in the submitted
revised layout plan. Separate NOC to be obtained for any other NOC.
* All conditions stated in the main NOC 100111010 to be strictly followed at site as need.
* DEWA approved NOC documents to be downloaded from DEWA Infrastructure NOC Customer Portal at
https://crm.dewa.gov.ae/irj/portal/anonymous
* Work should be carried out within your project limit under DEWA supervision only.
* Separate NOC to be obtained for crossing existing DEWA services along with crossing/protection details and
Method Statement.
* The horizontal and vertical clearance between the existing DEWA services and proposed work shall be in
accordance with DEWA Standard and Specification.
* All excavations close to existing DEWA services/structures to be carried out manually under DEWA site staff
supervision only.
* As built drawing to be submitted on monthly bases or based on work progress with details of installed DEWA
services/plants (length, coordinates and number of each item)
* Completion certificate to be obtained from DEWA within one month from the date of completion of work.
* Backfilling/Reinstatement should be carried out as per RTA and DEWA Standard.
* No heavy vehicles / equipment parking / storage of material / Parking / Excavated Soil are permitted over DEWA
Services/Corridor.
* Access to DEWA Corridors/Sub-Stations/Plants should not be blocked by proposed work.

Subject : Shop Drawing 11KV Diversion and Extension of Ducts (REF NOC 100111010)

* Contractor to ensure the implementation of all precautionary measures to ensure safety and integrity of existing
DEWA services within the project limits. Damage to any existing Services/Plant/Structure/SCADA system/
Control Unit and RTU due to the proposed work, will be charged against contractor as per DEWA regulations.
* All DEWA NOC conditions should be maintained and any violation; NOC will be suspended and action will be
taken as per Law (6)/2015 of Dubai Government.

Electricity Conditions :
* Distribution Maintenance cable sign board showing depth & numbers to be placed along the cable route.
* Work permit notification shall be obtained from consultant representative prior to start work. The same shall be
forwarded to Distribution Maint.Dep#t 48hrs in advance and the form would be verified by Dewa-Ed staff during
site visit.
* Weekly work program to be forwarded along with Location map & contact Name and Numbers to us every
Wednesday, If any new work planned intimation to be forwarded at least 2 working days in advanced any new
work.
* All crossing / parallel cables to be identified and all necessary safety and protection measures to be provided
prior to start the work.
* Existing Exposed HV cables to be protected with wooden box under DEWA supervision only.
* If any cable found at site which is not shown in the GIS or in the submitted drawing and affecting by the
proposed work, will be treated as per DEWA procedure or as per our site inspector instruction.
* Only manual excavation is allowed close to the existing cable by hand shovel or with flat side of the pickaxe if
required.
* No any HV cable to be affected by the proposed work and if found so, needs to be shifted/relocated as per site
conditions.
* The existing DEWA-ED cables to be raised /lowered to 0.9meter from the proposed Road level without any
financial cost to DEWA. If affected.
* During construction if any HV cable found in the proposed carriage way it#s to be relocated outside the
proposed carriageway.

* If any existing HV cable crossing the proposed road without duct, Spare ducts to be provided based on number
of existing cable.
* All backfilling works for exposed DEWA-ED cables & ducts, intimated one day advance to enable us to check
our services and give clearance for backfilling, if backfilled without our inspection the contractor responsible to
expose again for our inspection / clearance.
* Street light foundation/ chamber to be placed minimum 50cm away from the existing HV cables.
* Existing HV cable joint/ crossing bend should not fall under proposed asphalt.
* The existing used duct/spare duct to be extended with split ducts & concrete surround, and spare ducts to be
provided based on numbers of ducts affected in case the existing ducts are blocked due to extension of duct
without any financial cost to DEWA and the same to be verified from Dist. Maint. staff before concrete surround /
backfilling.
* Proposed joints to be made 15 meter away from the road crossing edge.
* All existing ducts to be extended up to 1 meter from the proposed road edge.
* All existing DEWA-ED ducts to be identified at site based on GIS drawing prior to removal of existing
road/asphalt, existing duct removal/not extended/blocked due to the proposed work to be replaced same
number of duct without any cost to DEWA.
* Spare ducts to be provide at road crossing based on existing cables at site.
* All ducts to be inspected by DEWA-ED representative during execution and completion. 200mmsq dia ducts to
be used for 33kv cables.
* Material submittal along with standard detail's for service ducts to be submitted for approval (Upvc
duct/Aluminum duct marker/Concrete duct marker/Allen tape/nylon rope)
* All works to be carried out as per DEWA-ED standard specification and supervision.
* Only manual excavation is allowed close to the EHV/HV/LV cables with hand shovel only (or with flat side of the
pickaxe if required) and all necessary safety and protection measures to be taken at site.
* All Protections required to existing DEWA ED services (if any) should be carried out under DEWA Supervision
Staff (See Electricity Annexure Sheet).

* Contractor should use Cable Detector before commencement of excavation work in order to locate/identify
concern existing DEWA ED services under DEWA Supervision Staff (See Electricity Annexure Sheet).
* Notification Permit to be always kept at site along with copy of NOC drawing, Trail pit verified drawing and layout
drawing showing the permit for verification.

Water Conditions :
* Prior to start excavation, identify and locate the existing DEWA Water pipelines and should be protected
properly as per DEWA standard in the presence of DEWA WD Supervision staff.
* Provide adequate safety measures to avoid any damages to existing water lines along the activity area from
movements of machinery / vehicles etc.
* Corridor reserved for water lines shall be left free of other services incase such services are found laid in DEWA
water corridor without our prior approval the same shall be relocated at your cost.
* Existing valve chambers should be accessible at all times and should not be buried during construction activity.
* Written intimation should be given to DEWA Water Project & Engineering and New Connection Department 3
days in advance prior to start the works close to existing waterline. (For contact details, please refer to annexure
sheet)
