surprise!

Spring is in the air and it has
definitely brought us some
surprises! A warm april night
brought six little surprises to the
lucky hen, Dannie Fat-Pants. She
had been incubating one egg ( as
the others were sadly taken from
her ), as she fell asleep that night.
And to her great surprise, she
woke up to find six chicks under
her!
Oh I was just shocked! she says
I must have taken excellent care of
that egg, I mean, Sixlets! And so
independent too. A bug! Get it!
Bug-bug-bug-bug-bug-bug!!!
*fur-ak dut dut-dut- dit dit dit dit
it* any way, she said looking up.
they are all so accomplished in
everything.

Baby Chick Rescue!
I admire her great mothering so if I knew the what the outcome
skills and I think we can all learn would be. I can only hope that in
something from her. She has been time I will be forgiven and gain
taking care of her chicks for four back my reputation. I am

Chicken thief
caught
red-winged!

Crickey was caught red-winged in
the local emergency food supply!
Yes folks, the food our flocks
depend on when bugs are short!
On April 27, she was stealing food
and was munching away when
senior citizen giselle discover her
in this act of utter disgrace. She
was taken into custody and
sentenced three days in solitary
confinement. For future reference,
refer to the authorities at once.
This is a crime and an act of
shame. this should
never be attempted for fun or
dares, But thanks to the
authorities we can all sleep safely
in our beds at night with full
bellies.

1. NEVER let them go
hungry. Chicks don't need
a ton of food but if they are
well feed they will be
happy. Plump chicks are

Time under momma is the
best time. They love to be
cozy especially when they
are sleepy.
3. Make sure all chicks
are accounted for. Baby
chicks can get scared and
cold without you so make
sure they are all accounted
for especially at night.
 4. They are very fast .
Learners. they will learn faster
than you can teach them.
5. And finally, they do
grow independent. Though
chicks have look of needs, they will
grow more and more independent.
But they will always come back to
momma for security and warmth.
