EPOFINE - 107-1 / FINEHARD 107-1

(2-COMPONENT EPOXY ADHESIVE COMPOUND)

PRODUCT

EPOFINE-107-1 / FINEHARD-107-1 system is a room temperature curing, two

component (Component A & Component B), thick liquid adhesive compound, suitable for
general purpose bonding applications. EPOFINE-107-1 is a solvent containing epoxy resin
and FINEHARD-107-1 is a weakly alkaline solvent containing hardener for the epoxy resin.
It provides good bond strength and water resistance.

APPLICATION & PROCESS

EPOFINE-107-1 / FINEHARD-107-1 is an adhesive compound for jointing of high

quality wooden furniture. It is also used for jointing of galvanically dissimilar metals due
high electrical resistance of the cured compound. The substrates are to be cleaned with
solvents such as trichloroethylene or isopropyl alcohol, depending on the type of substrates.
The cleaned substrate may be abraded with emery cloth for best results. It is necessary to
remove all dust particles, with the help of a suitable solvent.

SPECIAL FEATURES

The following advantages make it ideal for industrial use.

Easy to use (Mixing Ratio = 100 : 50 by weight or by volume)

Cured product is absolutely odourless.
Normal contact pressure is adequate while curing.
Good chemical resistance and electrical insulation.
Good resistance to acids.
Good resistance to water.

Curing schedule at various temperatures is given below.

STORAGE , HANDLING AND DISPOSAL

Storage : Store in a cool, dry place.

Shelf life : Minimum 24 months when stored in original sealed
containers at 10 - 25oC.
Handling : Use hand gloves and protective glasses.
Disposal : By incineration or as per local regulations.

SAFETY INFORMATION

Flash point : >23o C for Component A &

>23oC for Component B
Precautions : In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water.
In case of eye irritation, bathe the affected eye with
running water for at least 15 minutes, and get
medical attention.
