SEMI DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP 11

LEARNING COMPETENCY:
1. Discuss the relevance of the course.
2. Explain the key concepts of common competencies.
3. Explain the core competencies in Entrepreneurship.

I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:

1. Show understanding on the meaning of entrepreneurship and entrepreneur.


2. Identify the common competencies or qualities of an entrepreneur.
3. Recognize the core competencies in Entrepreneurship.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:


Topic: Entrepreneurship
Reference: Entrepreneurship Development Training Manual
Materials: Laptop, Projector

III. LEARNING PROCEDURE:


A. Preliminaries: (5 minutes)
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Checking of Attendance

B. Motivation: (5 minutes)
Explain to the class the meaning of entrepreneurship.

C. Activity: Group Activity/Presentation (15-20 minutes)


Students are already grouped (for big-sized class) or paired (for small-sized
class).
Each group were given their assigned Famous Entrepreneur, and tasked to
research about that particular person. They were asked to present a five-minute
presentation/report on this persons life and the characteristics he/she used to
become successful. Students should think about the following:
o Product or service (including their companys name)
o Costs and method of production
o Market served
Students are given ample time to research and prepare their presentation.
Students will be rated based on the rubrics.
Groups/pairs will present their output.

D. Analysis: Group Discussion (15 minutes)


What is an entrepreneur? What does he/she do?
How did you understand the contribution of these famous entrepreneurs in the
community?
Did you find their contributions to the community useful? In what way?
What are the qualities that they possess in order to become successful?

E. Abstraction: (5 minutes)
What are the common qualities of an entrepreneur?
From these qualities, what are the core competencies in Entrepreneurship?

F. Application: Board Work (5 minutes)


Find the region/area that lies between Z = -0.58 and Z = 1.26. Sketch the curve and
shade the region.

IV. ASSESSMENT: (8-10 minutes)


1. Find the region/area that lies to the right of Z = 0.31.Sketch the curve and shade
the region. (2 points)
2. Find the region/area that lies between Z = -1.16 and Z = 2.71. Sketch the curve
and shade the region. (3 points)
3. Briefly explain the steps in finding the regions under the normal curve. (5
points)

V. AGREEMENT:
Study in advance how to convert a normal random variable to a standard
normal variable and vice versa.
