NATIONAL PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR


The Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) wishes to recruit on a
contractual basis for a maximum of twenty-nine (29) months, a National Project Co-ordinator to
manage, administer and implement two projects funded by the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC)
in respect of which CARDI is the designated project implementation agency. The projects are
concerned with the increased production of (i) roots and tubers crops through the introduction of
improved production and marketing techniques and (ii) vegetables and herbs through the use of
Protected Agriculture

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The National Project Co-ordinator will be accountable to CARDI’s Country Representative and work in close
collaboration with CARDI’s Regional Project Implementation Unit at Headquarters in Trinidad and a National Co-
ordinating Committee. .

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate should normally possess a minimum of a first degree from a recognised
university in Agriculture, Engineering, Agribusiness or Management or related field of study with a
minimum of five (5) years experience in the implementation and/or management of agricultural, rural
development or agribusiness projects.
