Swimming

Swimming, as well as competitive swimming, is an

ancient sport. Swimming is a great sport.
Swimming is not as easy as every body thinks. First
you have to get the thing you need to swim. You
need to lean how to do the four strokes. Swimming
takes a lot of time. Then you need to set up your
training schedule. The seven laws of swimming are
good to follow. The meet schedule is very hard to
stand.

The thing you need for swimming is lot of stuff. You

need a swimming suit but you have to find the
right one. You have to find one that fits you right
and the right style. For a good racing suit it cost
around 60 dollars. Then you need a pair goggles
that fits you face right. Goggles cost around ten
dollars. If you have long hair, you need to a cap.
That cap is use for to reduce water drag, so you go
faster. Also you need a kick bored, pull buoys, hand
paddles, and zoomer . The most important thing
you need is a place to swim. You need to fine the
size pool.

Swimming is a recommendable sport in practical

aspects. First of all, it is necessary to learn how to
swim in case of the emergency. There are many
chances to go near the water because many
people take holidays by the sea, lakes or river,
especially in summer. The more chances to go near
the water you get, the more possibilities to fall into
the water there are. To survive from drowning, you
should learn how to swim, which means that
swimming is not only a sport but also the means
that offers guarantee of peoples survival. Second
of all, swimming is an effective exercise to lose
weight. It expends many calories without high
impact on joints compared with other sports. It
makes weight loss of every part of your body in
balance, so you would get fit and slim. If you can
control the amount of meal you eat, it is most
effective on loss weight without doing harm. In
addition, swimming can make you stay healthy.
Because you should hold your breath repeatedly,
and it is demanding aerobically, your lung and
heart will get stronger and healthier. Swimming
uses all the major muscle, so it increases muscle
power and the level of physical activities, and it
also helps to keep joints flexible, especially in the
neck and shoulders.

Finally, swimming opens the door to lots of

activities such as scuba diving or surfing. Many
other water sports demand swimming as a
preliminary condition. Swimming is involved in
most water sports directly or indirectly, so if you
dont know how to swim, you must hesitate to
enjoy them and take much longer time for you to
learn them. These days many people have been
interested in leisure sports including water sports.
If you are good at swimming, you will learn them
fast and easily, and can spend holidays enjoying
other water sports.

POLLUTION

What causes air pollution? Air pollution results

mainly from the incomplete combustion of several
fuels, such as coal, petrol and wood. The primary
sources of pollution from combustion are furnaces
in factories, engines in vehicles and burning of
trash, in the form of particles or gases. Air Pollution
is a harmful substances to the atmosphere
resulting in damage to the environment, human
health, and quality of life. One of many forms of air
pollution occurs inside homes, schools, offices, in
cities , across continents and even globally. Air
pollution causes damage to the environment. Air
pollution cause depletion of the ozone layer, which
allows a greater amount of ultraviolet rays to earth,
that can be harmful for humans. Some air
pollutants return to earth in the form of acid rain ,
which it can corrode statues and buildings, damage
crops, forests, makes lakes, and streams unsuitable
for fish and other plant and animal life .Smog is
another result from air pollutant which is in the
form of fog that is harmful to humans.

Global warming can also be a cause by air

pollutants, which causes the earth temperatures to
increase. This effects the whole earth as one , and
leading to a rise in global average temperatures.
Air pollution is changing the earths environment ,
if we continue polluting we can have serious
consequences that can change the earth and
health of humans.

As a result of increasing traffic, city size, economic

development, and industrialization, we have more
air pollution problems than ever before. A formal
definition of air pollution is as follows:

The presence in the atmosphere of one or more

contaminants in such quality and for such duration
as is injurious, or tends to be injurious, to human
health or welfare, animal or plant life.

Air pollution can cause health problems and can

also damage the natural world. So, who are the
main contributors to air pollution? In cities, where
air pollution is the worst, transportation is one of
the major causes. The combustion of gasoline in
automobiles, trucks, and airplanes produces a
number of major pollutants into the air. Some of
these contaminants include carbon monoxide,
nitrogen oxides, gaseous hydrocarbons, and lead.
When exposed to sunlight, many of these
chemicals combine to form additional pollutants
that are very harmful. One of these contaminants,
nitrogen dioxide, creates smog in the air.

Consequently, there are more and more health

problems arising from the increasing amounts of
pollution. Small children and the elderly are most
likely to feel the effects. Some of the short-term
effects include irritation to the eyes, and more.

Discipline on Children

Being parents is one of the most difficult

tasks. Children are not born with a 'handbook'.
Thus, deciding the appropiate way to raise a child
is complicated. In addition, one of the most
delicate aspects of raising children is discipline. It
can be very hard for parents to decide what to do
when the children need to be punished. Parents
might get frustrated with their children's behaviour
and may consider corporal punishment. However,
parents should not use corporal punishment to
discipline their children.
Children get hurt when parents use corporal
punishment. Physical agression is an agression,
even if it is as 'meaningless' as spanking.
Sometime parents might not control their strenght
and really hurt their children. Children are weaker
than adults. Hence, children are easier to get
seriously hurt. Also, sometimes parents punish
their children in more violent ways than spanking.
For instance, some parents might hit their children
with a belt or

In addition, corporal punishment causes emotional

and mental problems in children. The mere act of
spanking children could mark them for the rest of
their lives. If children are punished physically they
might feel rejected by their parents. In the same
way, these children could suffer from depression or
develop hatred toward their parents. Similarly, the
parents experience emotional and mental
problems. For instance, after punishing their
children the parents might feel that they were very
severe or cruel. Also, parents might feel guilty
about hurting their children. Furthermore, children
who were corporally punished are more likely to, in
the future, commit the same acts whit their own
children.

Instead considering corporal punishment, parents

should think about other ways to discipline their
children. By this I don't mean calling the children
demeaning names or insulting them, this could
result in a way more harmful kind of punishment.
What parents should do is talk to them and advice
them not to do repeat the same bad attitude again.

Reuse, Reduce, Recycle

Recycledont just toss everything in the trash.

Lots of things (like cans, bottles, paper, and
cardboard) can be remade into either the same
kind of thing or new products. Making new items
from recycled ones also takes less energy and
fewer resources than making products from brand
new materials.

Just about anything in your home (or office or

school, etc.) that cannot be reused CAN be
recycled into something else. You'd be amazed
what can be done with a recycled product! A
recycled soda bottle, can be made into T-shirts,
combs, or hundreds of other plastic goods that can
be used for many years. Even your brand new
computer case might be made from ordinary
recycled plastics. And paper products can take on
different forms as well; an old phone book or
coloring book might become one of your school
books or a notebook. Don't throw away anything
that can be recycled!

Reduce/Reduction: to make something smaller or

use less, resulting in a smaller amount of waste.
"Source reduction" is reducing waste before you
purchase it, or by purchasing products that are not
wasteful in their packaging or use.
A key part of waste "reduction" is "conservation"
using natural resources wisely, and using less than
usual in order avoid waste.
You can "reuse" materials in their original form
instead of throwing them away, or pass those
materials on to others who could use them too!
Remember, one man's trash is another man's
treasure!

When you do use disposables like plastic cups,

plates, utensils, and plastic food storage bags,
don't throw them away! Wash and reuse them
most of them will last for a long time with many
uses. They may not cost much to replace, but it
doesn't make any more sense to throw away those
things than it does to throw away your bicycle after
one use.
