1. What are your reasons for choosing to undertake the specified course of study?
Maters of Project Management recognizes the knowledge and skills already developed by engineers and expands
ones competencies further so that one can evaluate, plan and manage in the areas of human resources, including
people, work, employment and organization.This program is ideal for engineers seeking professional development
or who wants to enhance their career opportunities.The course contents are the perfect fit for my needs and career
goals.An advantage of studying Project Management is involvement of professionals from other disciplines
(management,business,marketing and accountancy etc.) who use real world engineering examples as part of their
teaching strategy.

2. Why have you chosen to study in Australia rather than in your home country?
Australia has always been among the best student destinations with a dynamic and vibrant education system.
Australia has world's top ranked universities which tend to promote practical learning.It provides over 22,000
courses for international students to choose from with worlds best facilities and educators. Studying in Australia
will offer me new and wonderful opportunities and experiences with a whole new view of the world. Moreover,
Australian Laws are very much student friendly ensuring and implementing quality education and protection for
International students. Also, in Pakistan, hardly one or two universities offer this course (Masters of Project
Management) but their course contents are not sound enough.

3. How is your selected course of study relevant to your previous academic and/or employment
background?
During my senior year,I worked as a Design Engineer Internee in Automotive Design and Safety Lab(ADSL).My job
was related to designing and analysis, crash investigations, project handling and technical report writing on vehicles.
During this internship, working on different projects, I realized that I am more interested in tasks related to
supervising and managing of projects instead of tasks including designing and analyzing. I also participated in Start
& Improve Your Business(SIYB) workshop, held at IST in collaboration with Higher Education Commission(HEC)
and International Labor Organization (ILO) in my final year. It was indeed a very fruitful experience but I realized that
although technical expertise has been considerably important,but in order to establish myself, managerial, business
and administrative proficiency is of primary importance. So I decided to pursue higher studies in Masters of
Project Management.
4. How is your selected course of study relevant to your future education and/or career plans?
After my grduation, I aim to return back to my homeland and start working as an entrepreneur/Project manager.To
be a successful entrepreneur requires a person to have know-how of project management, leadership, marketing,
strategic planning, cost planning and business skills which could only be acquired by taking such course. After
completion of my intended course, I would have a sound expertise in above said fields which would help me to
flourish my career and achieve my future goals for the betterment and development of my country.

5. How will this course benefit you when you return to your home country?

There is an acute shortage of Project managers in our country. After my graduation I will be fully equipped with the
sound managerial skills by taking courses like project management, leadership, marketing, strategicplanning, cost
planning and business skills.So,after coming back to my country Pakistan, I will start working as a Project manager
and having the knowledge of above said fields will help me to find a good job for initial boost of my career.
