VOTE ON SMOKING POLICY
SEPTEMBER 12, 2017 4PM-7PM
The Post will be holding a vote to determine if the
Post should go non-smoking or leave the smoking policy as is.

PROCEDURES AND POLICIES REGARDING VOTE:

1. Must be a current, paid up member, in good standing with American Legion Post-303 to
be eligible to vote. Must present card at time of voting.

2. Members must be present to vote. No absentee ballots will be distributed or accepted.

3. Voting will be held at American Legion Post-303 on September 12, 2017. Voting will be
opened from 4pm until the start of our General Meeting at 7pm.

4. Voting will be by closed ballot.

5. Votes will be counted immediately following the voting by the voting committee under
the direction of Ed Jakstavich.

6. Results will be presented during the September 12, 2017 General Meeting during the
business portion of the meeting.

Smoking Policy?

8. If Yes the Policy will take affect on October 1, 2017.

9. If No the Policy will remain the same with the front room still remaining a no

Constitutional Conference
May 20 - 7 of our Auxiliary members attended this years District 13
Constitutional Conference. This is the year-end wrap up ceremony for
District 13 where awards and certificates are given to the Units in the
district who excel in the various American Legion Auxiliary Programs.
Our district is made up of 15 units in the Southwest Florida region.

We received several Certificates of Appreciation and Participation.

Because of Rita Hokes and her Fountain Lakes Sewing and Knitting
group, our American Legion Auxiliary Post 303 was able to donate
these 15 adorable stuffed animals to the Bonita Springs Fire Depart-
ment Station 25. These firefighters will carry them on their trucks.
They use them during house calls, fire calls and emergency medical
calls to ease childrens stress and make them feel comfortable. These
fire fighters thanked us immensely!
