Experience
I have been teaching for 18 years. I taught at Wilson Primary School in Phoenix for 6 years, teaching
Kindergarten and 1st grade. . I have been at Greenfield for 11 years. At Greenfield, I have taught 5th
grade and Kindergarten. The past few years, I taught the "Little Chefs" cooking class for K/1 at Gilbert's
Summer School program as well.

On a more personal note....

I love teaching kindergarten! Education is my passion and I love to facilitate change and growth. I come
to work each day happy to see my little kindergartners. They make my day!

I am married and have two children: Sophia (22) and Hollye (6). I also have a grandson, Jack (4) and
one more due in October . My husband Howard and I love animals. So we have...8 dogs, 3 horses and
8 dogs among other things! My family gives me great joy and I feel truly blessed.

Although I was born in Arizona, I spent most of my years growing up in Chicago. At every family holiday,
I was always the one watching my little cousins. One of my cousins still remembers me teaching him to
read! I guess I was destined to be a teacher from a young age. I worked all through high school and
college at a day care center and eventually taught Pre-K. When I went to college, I majored in
anthropology and wanted to be a primatologist (studying primates). As time went on and I had my first
child, I decided to become a teacher and share my love of learning. It has been a wonderful and life
changing experience!
