Student Learning Target

At least 81% of my students will meet or exceed their achievement level goal on the 2017 CRT Spring Assessment based upon all
students enrolled by October 1, 2016.

Rationale for SLT

After a comprehensive review of my third grade level Criterion Referenced test that provides a basis for determining a candidates
level of knowledge and skills in relation to a well-defined domain of content. My team identified ELA as an area of focus in domain
content- specifically mastery of reading and comprehending literature and informational text. In grade 3 instructional time will focus
on: -Ask and answer questions as the student read referring to the text as the basis for the answers Recount stories and describe
connection, acknowledge different point of views, compare and contrasts different key ideas, themes, settings, and plots of storied
by the same author in fictional of nonfictional text Describe characters overall structure of a story, know and use text features of
informational text and how is contributes to understanding of the text Determine meanings of words and phrases, explain how
specific aspects of the text contribute to what is conveyed in the story Use text features as tools, describe connections between
particular parts of text, and describe the relationship between series of events, ideas, or concepts.
