About Engineering Entrance Exams
In order to gain admission to IITs, the student needs to write an exam called JEE. This exam
consists of two stages:
Stage1: JEE Main and Stage2: JEE Advanced. JEE Main is similar to the earlier AIEEE exam
& JEE Advanced is similar to the earlier IIT-JEE.
Admission to IITs are done solely on the basis of the rank in JEE Advanced. JEE Main, XII
Board marks and rank do not influence the admissions but are only used as an eligibility
criteria. In XII Board, the students are expected to score 75% aggregate or be in the top 20
percentile of the board.
Admission for NITs, IIITs and State Engineering colleges is expected to be purely on the
basis of JEE Main performance. As in the case of IITs, XII Board does not influence the
admissions but is only used as an eligibility criteria, which differs from college to college.
As per the recent developments, State Entrance Exams like MHT-CET are likely to be called
off and admissions to state colleges will be through JEE Main only. Similarly Private College
Entrance exams like BITSAT are also likely to be called off and their admissions again may
be done through the JEE Main Exam.o be called off and their admissions again may be done
through the JEE Main Exam.

FAQs For Foundation Basic Course
Q1. Why different batch for COC and Champions?
Ans. Getting the best students together is one of the attributes that is common across all the top
rank producing institutes throughout the country. The concept of COC and Champions batches,
allows students to study with peers of approximately the same intelligence level. This helps
students to learn more and even the teachers are able to plan their lectures well.
Q2. How will the admission to the COC batch decided?
Ans. To begin with the admission to the COC batch at BT will happen on the basis of our entrance
exam. But after every BTest, there will again be shuffling and the fresh set of toppers will be
allowed to attend lectures in the COC batch.
Q3. What after the completion of Basic Foundation course?
Ans. After successful completion of the Foundation (Basic) course, the selected students based
on merit will be given admission for the Foundation(Advanced) course. Foundation (Advanced)
Course is not offered at all centers.

Q4. What about students who do not qualify for the Foundation Advanced course?
Ans. We strongly recommended that they should repeat the Foundation Basic course and
strengthen their fundamentals.
Q5. What after the Foundation Advanced course?
Ans. The students going to 11th std then, should join our 2 yr comprehensive course. For the
students going to 10th std then, they are advised to join our 5 month course - Foundation
Advanced plus. This course will keep them in sync with JEE preparation and make them ready for
the 2 yr Comprehensive course from next year. However, few outstanding students shall be
offered to join the Comprehensive course in 10th itself and attend lectures of any subject (Physics
or Chemistry or Maths) along with 11th standard students. we have seen it works wonders.
Q6. Why same course for 8th and 9th going students?
Ans. 1) The way teaching at BT happens is very different from the way it happens at most schools.
Here, though we teach all the topics from scratch, we add a lot of value even to those students
who have studied these topics before at school.
2) As the selection is merit wise, it really does not matter which class the student is from,
3) For outstanding students, there is always the COC batch. Our past experience says even the
COC batch (selection to which is strictly merit wise) will be a fair mix of 8th and 9th std. students.)
Q7. What is the duration of Foundation Basic course and when does it begin?
Ans. The duration of this course is 9 months.
This course begins on 18th May 2017 for Thursday batches, 19th May 2017 for Friday batches,
20th May 2017 for Saturday batches and 21st May 2017 for Sunday batches.

FAQs For Foundation Accelerated Course

Q1. Will Foundation Accelerated course help me in my preparation of 10th std board exams?
Ans. Yes. We would be covering important topics of P/C/M which will not only help the students in building
their base for preparation of engineering entrance exams but also help them in their 10th std board exams
preparation. So, Foundation Accelerated course will definitely help the students for 10th boards and other
scholarship based exams.
Q2. What after the completion of Foundation Accelerated course?
Ans. After successful completion of the Foundation (Accelerated) course, students will have to write our
entrance test for two year comprehensive course.
Q3. What is the duration of Foundation Accelerated course and when does it begin?
Ans. The duration of this course is 8 months. This course begins on 21st May, 2017.
Course Material
BT shall provide its own course material. For additional study, we shall recommend few
course books which student would need to arrange on its own.
