Bragg Mirror
Reflection properties are defined
Mirrors are key parts in making by period of the mirror (), filling
a laser, for example factor, and number of periods
The question is, how to make a Goal is to design mirror with
broad band mirror? 99% of reflectivity over defined
range of wavelengths
Extension: turn mirror into filter!

Project Assignment & Reports
Project Assignment
Decide on a partner/s (3 groups of 2 persons + 1 group of 3 person ???)
Review the topics (literature)
Pick 3 topics (order of preference) and email ALL of us
First come first served basis !!! (All projects are of equal difficulty/grading)

Project (6-7 weeks)

Initial presentation (in 1~2 weeks)
Final presentation 12 minutes presentation + 3 minutes questions (to be
arranged)
Project review/paper (no more than 8-10 pages)

Each group will be assigned an advisor

Best to communicate directly with your designated advisor (email: preferable, in
person: after appointment). Of course if you need help someone will be around
