Students can work alone and check in pairs. Go through the answers with the class. Model and drill pronunciation.

2- Listening

Go through the different stages of a restaurant meal and check understanding. Play the audio file or scan the
QR code with your mobile device (make sure you have a QR code reader app installed on your device). Play the
dialogue once or twice. Students can work individually and check in pairs. Play the animated video included in this
lesson plan so that they can check their answers.

3- Role play

Students take turns to be waiter and customer. Make sure they role-play the full dialogue. If students decide to
order a dessert, they should then ask for the bill, or alternatively the waiter can offer a coffee. Elicit the expressions
`Can I have the bill, please?' and `Would you like a coffee?'
