Research 1

Institutional Vision, Mission and Goals :


Vision : Northern Mindanao Colleges, Inc. envisions globally competitive, academically excellent, socially responsible and morally upright individuals through
technological, educational and holistic development.
Mission : Educates and molds individuals into productive and valuable citizens in the country and to be globally competitive, equipped with technologically advanced
knowledge and skills to meet the demands of the dynamic society.
Goals :
To offer additional programs that are globally competitive
To develop students and produce graduates with global competitiveness in their field of expertise
To equip the students with the knowledge, skills, right attitude, and values formation relevant to the requirements of the local, regional, and national economy.
To upgrade the teachers professional and emotional growth.
To establish linkages with the alumni, PTCA, LGU, and other stakeholders in order to gain support on its various programs and projects.
To intensify the research program of the undergraduate and graduate studies.
To conduct institutional research.

Program Vision, Mission and Goals:

Vision: To be a leading academic provider of globally competent and efficient teachers of the future through quality and affordable education, focusing on the effective and
holistic professional development in a dynamic society.

Mission: To provide interdisciplinary, and value laden courses in teacher education; to produce quality empowered and committed teachers in the country.

Goals:
1. Help prepare students to be highly competent in their teaching profession, involvement in community outreach program and services.
2. Develop pedagogical knowledge, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
3. Collaborate with students, parents, community members and colleagues to support student learning and development.
4. Create a classroom environment that facilitates learning climate that encourages fairness, positive social interactions, active learning and self-motivated individuals.

Program Intended Learning Outcomes: The graduates of Teacher Education have the ability to:

a. Discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice. (PQF level 6 descriptor)
b. Communicate effectively using both English and Filipino, orally and in writing
c. Work effectively and independently in multi disciplinary and multi cultural teams. (PQF level descriptor)
d. Exemplify professional, social and ethical responsibility
e. Preserve and promote Filipino historical and cultural heritage (based on R.A. 77220)

Articulate the relationship of education to larger historical, social, cultural and political processes.
Facilitate learning using a wide range of teaching methodologies in various types of environment.
Develop alternative teaching approaches for diverse learners.
Apply skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, materials development, instructional delivery and educational assessment.
Demonstrate basic and higher levels of thinking skills in planning, assessing and reporting.
Practice professional and ethical teaching standards to respond to the demands of the community.
Pursue lifelong learning for personal and professional growth.

Programs Outcome Bachelor of Elementary and Secondary Education


Demonstrate in depth understanding of the development of elementary and secondary adolescent learners.
Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of various learning areas in the elementary and secondary curriculum.
Create and utilized material appropriate to the elementary and secondary levels to enhance teaching and learning.
Design and implement assessment tools and procedures to measure elementary and secondary learning outcomes
Course Intended Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course, the students must have:

3. Familiarized the different steps in data processing
