Two of Webb Citys finest furry

friends are making the rounds,
bringing cheer to the Foxberry Terrace Assisted
Living Facility.
Sue Utter, a former Carl Junction guidance coun-
selor, is the proud owner of Sunny, a 21-year-old
Appaloosa horse, and Roxie, a 5-year-old Shih Tzu. A
certified therapy dog, Roxie has been making visits
to the facility for some time now but Sunny just
made her debut on Tuesday, June 20.
I think animals have a tremendous companionship
and healing power, says Utter. Her retirement, she
says, has given her the time to bring her animals
around town. After their Wednesday visits to Fox-
berry Terrace, Utter and Roxie head out to do Meals
on Wheels together.
Joy Cook, a resident of Foxberry Terrace, explains
that she looks forward to Roxies visits every week.
Id love to have a dog like that, says Cook. So For Utter, the reasons for bringing her animals to the
cute.
Utter rode her horse from her property in Webb City
to the facility, giving residents the opportunity to
pet Sunny and feed her carrots and apples. A short
while later, Utters husband, Rick, brought Roxie to
meet with her adoring fans, who showered her with
affection.
The staff of the facility also got in on the fun, feeding
and petting Sunny and Roxie.

Look around, she says, gesturing to the dozen or
so people enjoying the sunshine with her animals.
She also explains, I hope someone brings me a dog
and horse someday if I cant have mine with me.
