Concept and functional scope
The EWM Warhouse Monitor (/SCWM/MON) is extended with new nodes and methods
that will improve and support your daily warehouse operations.
With the new monitor methods Change to blocked stock, Change to unrestricted
stock or Change to quality stock a user can do one or several posting changes with
regards to stock type within the existing monitor node Physical Stock. A user can e.g.
post in one go all stock for one product into quality stock (Q4) or vice-versa (F2).
All postings are forwarded to ERP.
Pick Pack and Pass can be used to pick into one Handling Unit across several
activity areas, passing the Handling Unit from one activity area to another. In
that case the system creates one Warehouse Order per activity area and
assigns all these (sub) Warehouse Orders to a Top Warehouse Order which
reflects the Handling Unit to be picked.
In the standard monitor there is no view on this hierarchical structure of Top and
Sub Warehouse Orders available. In addition there is no simple or fast way to
navigate from a Top Warehouse Order to its Sub warehouse Orders yet.
In a Pick Pack and Pass scenario these views and navigation options are very
helpful for monitoring and analysis.
The Wave node is enhanced by information on the overall picking status of the wave
Picking open: Warehouse Tasks are not created (grey icon)
Picking released: Warehouse Tasks are created (yellow icon)
Picking done: All wave items are completly picked (green icon)
For waves with 2-step picking the status can be shown for the removal step (withdrawal)
as well as for the picking (allocation) step.
The Wave Progress can be shown for the picking and the removal step by displaying
number of open, confirmed and total Warehouse Tasks
A new node is introduced to show the picking progress per wave and product.
By product you can show the picking progress for the removal step and for the
picking step. In addition you can drill down to display the
removal Warhouse Tasks for a product
picking Warehouse Tasks for a product
the Wave items for a product
The status evaluation may influence the performance of your wave monitor
node.
You can choose between new wave-nodes or update of the existing wave-
nodes.
In case you do not use 2-step picking, you can hide the specific fields for the
removal step.
Cancel picking is required in the goods issue process if there are problems
with already picked items.
The original outbound delivery order is open for picking again after the stock
has been released.
Note: Similar functionality is available in transaction /SCWM/CANCPICK.
The extension Cancel Picking includes 3 new methods that can be found in a
HU-node:
1. Cancel Picking
2. Cancel Picking & Move HU
3. Move HU
The Cancel Picking methods are available for all HU nodes in the warehouse
monitor...
Its also possible to define default values for these parameters in master
data table.
A detailed log is written for the cancel picking process in the monitor (Tx. SLG1).
With this consulting solution a user can search and display application logs in
an convenient way within the EWM Warehouse Monitor.
The new node Application Log can be preconfigured to access e.g.
Warehouse Task or Wave logs.
Users do not need to have access to transaction SLG1 anymore.
The current Activity Area is of particular interest for example in a Pick, Pack
and Pass scenario or in an automated MFS warehouse. Therefore a new
monitor node allows you to select stock by Activity Area and Activity.
The consulting solution enables a selection by Activity Area and Activity and
shows those two fields in addition to the Standard Stock Overview fields.
