Total Gas System

A robust system that operates with a high degree of accuracy,

the Pason Total Gas System (TGAS) detects changes in relative
volumes of hydrocarbon gases at the surface without complex offline

information it provides can be viewed by any rig site user over a data
network. The Pason TGAS has many features which make it safe to
use and reliable, consistent, and accurate under any conditions.

Function
The Pason TGAS is an unmanned system designed to measure
the amount of hydrocarbon gases (C1-C5) exiting the well bore and
Technology then calculate the lag time to show the formation depth where the
gases were produced. Gas samples are collected and analyzed
right at the shaker. The Pason TGAS works in conjunction with the
Pason EDR which displays historical and current total percent gas
at a specific depth or time.

Components
Gas trap:
Agitates the drilling mud entering the shaker, releasing
the hydrocarbons trapped within the mud.

Analyzer:
Measures the amount of hydrocarbon gases released
from the drilling mud by the gas trap.

Air dryer:
Takes air from the rigs compressed air supply and
removes water vapour and impurities. Clean air is then
used to run the gas trap and the analyzer.
