Off air or BTS Fed systems

10 21 February 2016 www.cobham.com/wireless

How does it work?

An off-air digital
repeater receives
the radio signals
to provide coverage
inside small buildings
to feed an optical
system, or we have
direct BTS
connection to cover
larger buildings,
tunnels & metros.

www.cobham.com/wireless
Why in-building coverage?

Outdoor cells might be blocked

by high penetration loss of
modern buildings

Dominant cell definitions often

disturbed by multiple cells from
outside

Massive demand for capacity

requires dedicated in-building
sectors
