I am writing to you in order to show my interest in filling the position of Associate Media Planner
at Kelly Scott Madison. I am a very detail oriented and thorough worker and I have had the
opportunity develop a unique but transferable skillset during the course of my schooling, prior
work experience, and training as a musician. As a composer I have edited hundreds of pages
of music to a professionally publishable level of quality. I have organized a multi-state concert
tour that involved 16 musicians. That project involved coordinating schedules of a large number
of people, booking venues and rehearsal spaces, making travel arrangements, and drafting
contracts for both performance and recording purposes. Additionally being a composer has
helped me developed a friendly and personable demeanor when dealing with other people as
networking is a key part of that field. And finally with every performance of my music I have to
think about how to market that concert in order to get people in the audience and determine
what my target audience is and how to attract them.

In my previous work at Capital One Auto Finance I maintained an over 99% quality assurance
rating while consistently meeting high volume quotas under strict deadlines. In addition that job
gave me the opportunity to understand the work involved in a more traditional office job and
develop my professional demeanor when situations demand it. As to my schooling I have had
the opportunity of being the president of the Society of Composers and the creative director of
the student theater organization, QuantUM, at the University of Miami. In these roles I managed
budgets of up to $25,000 and successfully produced numerous large scale events from
musicals and cabarets to film festivals and residencies with professional music ensembles.

I believe all of these prior experiences have helped to uniquely equip me to succeed in a variety
of workplaces. I hope you will consider hiring me for this position as I would love to the
