Welch Campaign: Half a truth is a Lie

ELECT LEE SPAHOS, The Truthful Candidate

Make no mistake. Do not be fooled. VOTE FOR LEE SPAHOS for House Ditrict 110.

Tonight's email came as News From the Welch Campaign. It was mailed from Cedar Street Advisers, Inc - the company
owned by Charles Mobley, who is Welch's campaign manager. As you recall Mr. Mobley ran an unsuccessful campaign for
BoC chair two years ago. Many observers believe he lost so heavily because of his negative attack ads against one
opponent.

The YouTube video Charles Mobley is now promoting proves a leopard does not change his spots. In these last days of
the runoff campaign for Georgia House District 110, an attack ad was expected. Anyone who knows the players in the
Welch campaign saw it coming.

Note the article here at The Neighbor, "Andy "Half-Truth" Welch" and another posted at JasonPye.com detailing the half-
truths and lies promoted by Andy Welch and now Charles Mobley.

Only today Mr. Tom Nicholson, former challenger in this race, posted his full endorsement for Lee Spahos. No doubt that
caused the mudslingers to cringe - and this latest tripe was concocted.

If you cannot tell the truth, and meet your opponent with facts and issues, you must "go negative". Those who thought
Welch had more integrity than to lie to voters only had to assess the people he chose to run his campaign.

Another misleading mailer in House District 110

By Jason Pye, Posted at JasonPye.com: http://www.jasonpye.com/blog/2010/08/another_misleading_mailer_in_h.html

Friday, August 06, 2010

We have another misleading mail piece in HD-110. Andy Welch, who has sent out two dishonest and misleading
mailers already in the last week, would like to give you the impression that Henry County Sheriff Keith
McBrayer, Rep. Lynn Westmoreland and Sen. Johnny Isakson have endorsed him.

But, the fact is they haven't. I spoke with Sheriff McBrayer this afternoon. He said, "I met with both of the candidates
when they announced and I told both of them that I was friends with them and their families and that I couldn't endorse
one over the other."

The respect Sheriff McBrayer has for both of the candidates was apparent during our conversation. Like many other
officeholders, McBrayer realizes that he has to work with whoever the voters of the district elects on August 10th.

Westmoreland, a good friend of State Rep. John Lunsford (who has endorsed Lee Spahos), is staying out of the
primary. Chip Lake, Westmoreland's Chief of Staff, tells me, "Congressman Westmoreland has not endorsed in this race.
He believes that both individuals, Andy or Lee, would serve the district well in the Georgia General Assembly and look
forward to working with whoever wins."

A call to Sen. Johnny Isakson's office has not been returned.

There is a difference between a negative campaign and simply telling the truth. Vote for

Lee Spahos, House District 110 - Runoff Election Tuesday, August 10.

Georgia's Conservative Leaders Agree:

John Douglas is the Right Choice!
The Douglas Campaign released the endorsements of Sadie Fields,
Commissioner Stan Wise and Commissioner Lauren "Bubba" McDonald

(Atlanta) - With the runoff election for the Republican nomination for Public Service Commission coming up around the corner,
conservative statewide leaders are lining up behind the proven public servant in the race, John Douglas. Today, the Douglas campaign
announced the endorsement of Sadie Fields, former head of the Christian Coalition of Georgia Christian Alliance, and current members of
the Public Service Commission, Stan Wise and Lauren "Bubba" McDonald.

"I've known Senator Douglas for many years and have witnessed first hand the consistent, conservative values he has displayed in the
General Assembly - his voting record speaks for itself. Unlike some, John has never compromised his conservative principles for political
gain," said Mrs. Fields. "A man of character and integrity who served in the Armed Forces, John will represent the families of Georgia with
the same firm leadership and strong values he has shown in his service to both the military and in the state legislature."

Sadie Fields now joins an overwhelming group of statewide leaders who support John Douglas' past record which ultimately reflects his
proven position on the issues that plague Georgia ratepayers. Public Service Commissioner Stan Wise and Bubba McDonald have also
publicly endorsed Douglas alongside one of his former opponents Representative Jeff May, as the true conservative left in the race to
replace retiring commissioner Bobby Baker.

"I am truly honored to have the support of Sadie, Stan, and Lauren as we head into the final stretch of this race," said Senator Douglas. "I
greatly appreciate their endorsements as well as the support of many other conservative leaders in our state that have signed onto my
campaign. I am certain that with the leadership of great men and women like those supporting my candidacy, we will keep a stronghold of
conservatism on the Public Service Commission."

A lifelong Republican, Sen. Douglas is a retired Army Officer who served 18 years in the US Army before retiring as a Major in 1994. When
not doing Senate business, he is a Field Representative for the Peace Officers Association of Georgia. He was first elected to the Newton
County Board of Education in 1998, the Georgia House of Representatives in 2002 and the Georgia Senate in 2004. He was the first
Republican from Newton County to be elected to both the GA House and Senate. Senator John Douglas, his wife Susan and daughter
Katherine reside in Social Circle and attend Salem United Methodist Church.

Note: Sen. Douglas provided a very long list of Endorsements that, due to space, could not be included in this email.

The Rick Jeffares Campaign

Releases a Long List of Endorsements and Shows Broad Based Support

(Locust Grove) - After a strong showing in the Republican Primary and the Run-off election less than a week away, the
Rick Jeffares for State Senate campaign released a long list of endorsements of community leaders from throughout the

campaigning all over the District and visiting with voters about the issues important to them," Jeffares stated.

Rick resides in Henry County with his wife, Leslie. He has four daughters and one grandchild.
Active throughout the community, the Jeffares family attends Sharon Baptist Church and Rick volunteers with Water

OX & SHEFFIELD -- EXTREME MAKEOVER:

INSURANCE COMMISSIONER EDITION
When Atlanta insurance lawyer Maria Sheffield began her campaign, she enthusiastically promoted her 16-year ties to
current Commissioner John Oxendine (Ox). In recent months, however, you would think there were few ties between
them. Sheffield has gone through an extreme political makeover, attempting to recast herself as a "reformer" who will
scourge Ox's persona and practices from the office if she is elected.

To believe this extreme political makeover, we voters have to overlook a few facts. Never mind that Ox was Sheffield's
mentor. Never mind that she worked on Ox's political campaigns. Never mind that she has donated thousands of dollars
to Ox's campaigns in recent years. Never mind that Ox gave her a very flexible work schedule so she could finish school
while drawing a full time salary from the taxpayers. Never mind that Ox helped her land her first private sector legal job.
Never mind that her team and surrogates are Ox people. Never mind that she benefited immensely from Ox's mailing
lists early on in the campaign. Never mind all that.

But then, there is the sticky issue of money. We are always advised to "follow the money," and that is where the
Ox/Sheffield connection gets a little more difficult to overlook. The fact that one-third of Sheffield's donations are from
Ox contributors is a good starting point. It is not just the fact that many of the Ox/Sheffield political donations overlap,
but it is where some of those joint political contributions came from that also raise eyebrows.

For example, consider the donations from Norm Taplin from West Palm Beach who gave $12,500 to Ox and over $1,800
to Sheffield. Taplin was an attorney involved in the viatical insurance ponzi scheme uncovered in Florida. Didn't Sheffield
work on viatical issues for clients after she left the Department?

And, consider the donations from Doug Sizemore who gave $3,000 to Ox and $500 to Sheffield. Sizemore resigned as
Tennessee Insurance Commissioner under a cloud of suspicion in the midst of a department investigation. He is now a
"consultant."

Extreme makeover or just more smoke and mirrors? The ties that bind Oxendine and Sheffield together are strong and
indisputable, down to the source of many of their political donations.

Voters beware - A vote for Sheffield is a vote for more of the same

Public Service Commission Race

By BLAKE AUED - blake.aued@onlineathens.com

In the Public Service Commission Race, Echols faces state Sen. John Douglas, R-Social Circle.

Echols said he wants to encourage homeowners to install solar panels, which would reduce their power bills 17 percent,
and proposed converting government vehicles to run on natural gas. "Given our community's interest in green energy,
my position is definitely distinct from my opponent," he said.

Douglas disagreed, maintaining that the state should focus on coal, biomass, natural gas and nuclear power.

"I'm a big fan of nuclear," he said Friday at an Atlanta Press Club debate. "But we have to pay for it in order to expand it
so it matches the population expansion of the state. Your position is going to lead to rolling blackouts like they have in
California because you don't want to pay for the expansion of nuclear power."

Echols founded a nonprofit called TeenPact that teaches leadership skills to home-schooled Christian children. An ethics
complaints filed against him last week alleges that his consulting firm improperly profited from TeenPact volunteers going
door-to-door for Oxendine's gubernatorial campaign.

VOTE TUESDAY, August 10

Vote in the runoff elections!

These elections will decide which candidates will represent the Republican Party in November!

Some elected offices will be decided on Tuesday.

In House District 110 between conservative Lee Spahos and big-government, untruthful Andy Welch there is
no Democrat contender. THIS VOTE IS CRUCIAL.

State Senate District 17 also has no Democrat contender. Rick Jeffares has experience and ability, and he
understands the important issues that face Georgians. THIS VOTE IS CRUCIAL.

Public Service Commission will also be decided by the Runoff Vote. Sen. John Douglas has the education,
professional and political experience! Contender Echols, former adviser to the John Oxendine gubernatorial campaign
and non-profit exec, has only a serious ethics complaint to his credit.

Americans Stand Up Against Radical Islam

Censored Protest at Ground Zero

June 16, 2010, New York, N.Y., - by El Marco

Americans Stand Up Against Radical Islam in New York - We Will Not Submit!

Not one major network sent a satellite truck or camera crew to this event. Without bloggers this newsworthy event
would have remained unknown to the public and history

On Sunday, June 6th, a multi-ethnic, multi-racial coalition of Americans opposed to Islamic violence and intolerance
rallied at the site of the World Trade Center in New York City.

9/11 families were joined by immigrants from India, Russia, Egypt, Israel, Africa, Iran and Europe to show opposition to
the construction of a mega-mosque at Ground Zero. Others flew in from overseas to speak or just to share their
particular ethnic communities' experiences at the hands of Muslims.

These are parents and spouses of firefighters killed on 9/11. The rally took place just a minute's walk from Ladder 10
Firehouse, where their loved ones were stationed for duty that terrible day. Ladder 10 lost seven firefighters.

Crowd estimates ranged from 5,000 (NYPD) to 10,000. The crowd overflowed the police barrier enclosures that ran the
full length of two city blocks. This photo shows the enclosure in front of the stage at the intersection of Liberty and
Church Streets. The second enclosure ran the length of the next block and can be seen on the other side of the traffic
lights.

Thousands of additional participants filled the treed area of Zuccotti Park.

Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller are the founders of STOP ISLAMIZATION OF AMERICA, which sponsored the rally.
Ms. Geller is a citizen journalist and blogger who runs the human rights web site Atlas Shrugs. Mr. Spencer is the
author of several books on Islam and head of the influential web site Jihad watch. Pamela Geller:

"Ground Zero is a war memorial, Ground Zero is a burial ground. We are asking for sensitivity. It is unconscionable to
build a shrine to the very ideology that inspired the jihadist attacks at Ground Zero, right there. We are asking the
imam Rauf and Daisy Khan to be sensitive. For mutual respect and mutual understanding that is demanded of us every
day.

There's a hair-trigger sensitivity in the Muslim world, you can't run the cartoons, you can't say Mohammed, this is
offensive. This is an offensive mosque. To build a shrine, an Islamic flag of conquest on the sacred ground the cherished
site, of a conquered land. This is historic, this is Islamic history. It's what they do. The St. Sofia in Turkey, the al-Quds,
at the holiest Jewish site in Israel. Not here. This is where we take a stand. We must take a stand. We must say no."

I do not believe that the landmarks commission controlled by Mayor Bloomberg, is going to stop this mosque. It's not
going to happen. Here's Omar Muhamedi, on his human rights council, a CAIR lawyer, who sued the airlines and the
Jane and John Does that saw something and said something on those airplanes, if you remember. That's who's
on his human rights commission. It ain't gonna happen with Bloomberg. We have to make it happen. You have to get
involved." (Pamela Geller)

Port Authority and NYPD officers kept watch over the rally and were well aware of the need for heightened security at
this event. One of their own Port Authority officers, WTC Sergeant Alan T. De Vona was on duty at the World Trade
Center on 9/11, 2001, and was one of the first to help victims of the terrorist attack. He spoke these words to the SIOA
rally:

"It's almost nine years. I'm hoping that America is watching. I'm hoping that America is remembering. Because, make
no mistake. September 11 was an act of war. And thank the military that has lost almost 5,000 troops from that day,
defending us. I don't know what to say to jar America's memory. I want America to remember.

Port Authority Police and FDNY firefighters are seen here gathered beneath this banner.

Bhupinder Singh Bhurji, Pamela Geller, and Robert Spencer. Singh Bhurji is the president of the NAMDHARI SIKH
FOUNDATION. The foundation is a member of the Human Rights Coalition Against Radical Islam (HRCARI). HRCARI is a
coalition of Hindus, Sikhs, Christians from Sudan, Egypt and Iraq, moderate Muslims and Jews - who are victims and
targets of radical Islam around the globe. He said, at another rally:

"Radical Islamists are killing people in India, trying to dominate that nation. And here too they come with violence
against "infidels." We are "infidels united," standing together, brown, black and white, against this epoch's fascist
movement. Radical Islam wants to dominate entire world. They want everyone to surrender. Islam radical or
otherwise. They want to put the Islamic flag on White House."

Because of Islamic terrorism, America and the world have seen massive new security measures become a way of life.
Anyone openly critical of Islam, or terrorist ideology, must surround themselves with security, or live in hiding. Those
courageous enough to confront Islamism are criticized by the cowards and appeasers of the left who seek safety by
supporting the enemy. Moderate Muslims were silent when Theo van Gogh was brutally murdered in Amsterdam, just as
moderate Muslims in the United States are generally reluctant to speak out against violent Islam.
