Famed airgun writer and collector for nearly 40 years, Larry Hannusch, tells a tale of good fortune that all collectors will
understand some because it has happened to them, others because they hope it will one day. What first appeared to
be a rather ordinary bellows-powered gallery puffer in fact turned out to be a beautifully crafted and rare butt-piston
gun dating from the middle of the nineteenth century. Its origins remain shrouded in mystery why an airgun externally
