Introduction
Microcat Authorisation Server (MAS) provides dealerships with concurrent licensing options.
Each license option will store a pool of licenses accessible from any computer on the network.
This guide is designed to assist users in installing and setting up MAS. It is recommended that a
System Administrator perform the installation of MAS.
To install the MAS application and the MAS Controller on the server:
1. Navigate to the MAS directory and double click on Setup.exe.
The MAS directory and installation files are available on the Microcat LIVE DVD, the
MAS CD, or can be downloaded from the MAS website.
2. Select the language for installation, and click the OK button.
3. Click the Next button.
4. Accept the licence agreement, and click the Next button.
You may be prompted to install the .NET framework which will require the server to be
restarted.
5. Select the Complete radio button, and click the Next button.
6. Click the Install button.
7. Click the Finish button.
The MAS Configuration wizard will be displayed.
The MAS dongle must be recognised prior to installing Microcat LIVE. Contact your
regional Customer Service for any assistance.

2. Click the Next button.
The MAS Configuration wizard will guide you through the configuration screens listed in
the left-hand navigation panel.

Each license option will store a pool of licenses accessible from any computer on the network.
To activate the dongle:
1. Connect the MAS dongle to the appropriate computer port.
2. Select the Dongle Activation radio button.
3. Click the Next button.
Internet Options
MAS requires a permanent Internet connection on the server hosting MAS in order for licences
to be authorised.
For Internet connections not using a proxy server:
1. Click the Test button to check the Internet connection.
A confirmation message will be displayed.
2. Click the Next button.
2. Type the IP address and the port number in the appropriate fields.
3. Type the user name and password (optional).
4. Click the Next button.
If insufficient data is entered during the MAS configuration, a red Exclamation icon may
be displayed. Roll the mouse over the icon to view more information.
Licence Manager
MAS can be configured to operate with the use of Microcat only, Microcat LIVE only or Microcat
and Microcat LIVE.
To configure the Licence Manager:
1. Select the application you will be using with MAS:
Microcat: To use Microcat only.

LIVE, and do not have to be entered separately in MAS.
To add a Microcat user:
