INCIDENT DESCRIPTION
Current as well as Voltage values are constantly zero.
It is an on-going situation since the time of commissioning.

IMMEDIATE ACTIONS TAKEN

PLANNED ACTIONS AND RESULTING PREVENTATIVE MEASURES

1-Connect his laptop directly to the Protection Device (J04 REF 670) through LAN cable. Try to ping the LAN IP
(192.168.160.228) which is the IP of the device.

2-If you unable to ping the meter then which may be means laptop does not obtain an automatic IP address or the
automatic IP address does not belong to the same subnet then you need to set a static IP in laptop.

Settings for to feed static IP in laptop:-

SubNet mask: 255.255.255.0

IP should not lie between: First Host: 192.168.160.1 to Last Host: 192.168.160.254.

Gateway: 192.168.160.199

3- If you still not able to ping then there is problem from meter communication port or in the cable.

4- If you able to ping the meter directly through laptop that means there is no issue from device end. So connect it back
to protection device.

5- If problem still persist then check all the intermediary communication parts in SCADA panel.

6- Check the LAN cable between Transition Network Optical-Ethernet switch 2 (which is in server rack) and
Protection Device. And check the LED at the corresponding port on Transition Network Optical-Ethernet switch 2
which must be blink continuously.

7- Check the LAN cable between Transition Network Optical-Ethernet switch 2 (which is in CCTV rack) and
Transition Network Optical-Ethernet switch 2 (which is in server rack) LED must be blinking at both the
corresponding end ports.

8- Check the LAN cable between Transition Network Optical-Ethernet switch 2 (which is in CCTV rack) and
Microtik router(Port No.4) which is in SCADA panel in Main Control Room, LED must be blinking at the both
corresponding ends.

8- After checking the functionality if its working fine then connect your LAN cable through laptop to Transition
Network Optical-Ethernet switch 2 (which is in CCTV rack) and ping the device IP (192.168.160.228).

9- If problem still persist then back to us.
