The CAN-LCD is a 4-line 20 character text display. At the back of the display is a CAN-LCD communication
module mounted. This module is connected via CAN 2 network to the engine SBC processor. By using this
display it is possible to monitor and adjust actual values, settings and historical alarms. The display menu is
based on a tree structure.

1. This is the four line twenty character LCD display.


2. Downwards arrow button makes it possible to go down in the menu structure to the next screen or scroll
through the variables.
3. Upwards arrow button makes it possible to go up in the menu structure to the previous screen or scroll
through the variables.
4. Leftwards arrow button makes it possible to go back from a sub menu to the main menu structure.
5. Rightwards arrow button makes it possible to go right into a sub menu.
6. With the Enter button it is possible to adjust settings. By pressing this button for 3 seconds the adjusting
mode will be activated. To leave the adjusting mode press this button again for 3 seconds.
7. By pressing this button, alarms will be reset.
8. With this button it is possible to view the actual alarms. On pressing the button the previous alarm in the list
will be displayed. This function is not available on the first screen (Screen 0), and in screens were no alarms
but values are displayed.
9. This LED is an indication for voltage on the bus bar. The LED turns green when there is voltage on bus bar.
10. This LED indicates the closed generator synchroniser breaker. The LED turns green when the generator
synchroniser breaker is closed.
11. This LED is an indication for the generator status. The LED turns green when the generator is running.

3. Explanation Menu Structure


In the following documentation each screen will be explained, how to navigate through the CAN-LCD menu
structure and how to adjust settings.
