#RightsOverGoods
The hashtag above goes more in depth into Regans philosophy, Animal Rights
Approach, explaining rights over goods. Regan states that if the harmful action violates the
dignity or the morality of the animal, then it is immoral. It does not matter if the action may or
may not bring a positive outcome for the greatest number of people, unlike Kants Deontology.
Regan says what matters morally is respecting the individual's rights and dignity, extending the
rights to animals. Respecting the individual rather than the wholly good of a group, in this case
mankind, is what matters most and gives morality to the individual animal.

#InherentValue
This hashtag explain Regans animals morality, different a counter to Kant, where Regan
explains that an animal is a subject of life, the inherent value. These means more than just
being alive; it gives moral values to an animal's life, compared to human rights. Kants counter
is that what gives moral value to something is Humanity, or the capacity to reason or to wil.
Having that autonomy, or self law, and the ability to act upon it makes you morally right or
wrong. However, Regan counters Kant by stating that if you violate the rights and dont honor
the dignity of an individual, despite if they have the capacity to reason, is still immoral.
