Railroad Run
The Railroad Run (RRR) multiuse trail is 1.3 miles long beginning at West
CircularStreetandendingatNYSRoute50acrossfromSaratogaSpaState
Park.ThereareplanstoeventuallyconnectthetrailtotheZimSmithTrail
whichcurrentlyendsinBallstonSpa.ThetrailconnectstheStateParkwith
the West Side neighborhood in Saratoga Springs. It also provides a non
motorizedconnectiontotheSaratogaYMCA.

A total of 47 surveys were collected from trail users on the trail and 15
online survey respondents reported using the trail. A total of 27 surveys
weremailedtoadjacentresidentialpropertyownersand10werereturned.
The trail attracted users from 12 different zip codes with the most users
beingfromSaratogaSpringsandBallstonSpa.

Both trail counts and trail user surveys show more pedestrians than
bicyclists.Trailcountdatashowedslightlymoremaletrailsusersthanbut
trailusersurveysreportedmorefemales.
