1. General Condition
a. Make sure that safe access to and egress from site for all lifting personnel, lifting equipment
are already exist. And also ensure that the working area is clear of all obstructions to allow the
safe assembly and working of lifting equipment.
b. Make sure that the area where the lifting equipment is to stand/operate is firm and level,
capable of withstanding the expected loadings that will be imposed upon it.
c. Any personnel that not directly concerned with the lift must warn to stay away from the
lifting area and under the moving object.
d. All lifting equipment to be left unattended for a period, shall be left in safe condition, with not
load on the lifting devices.

2. Specification of Lifting Equipment.

a. Hoist
Capacity : ~ 3 Tons
Radius : ~ 25 meter
Pipe Weight to Lift Cap. : ~ 200 Kg

b. Chain Block
Capacity : ~ 3 Ton

c. Motorize Winch
Capacity : ~ 1 Tons
Radius : ~ 25 meter
Pipe Weight to Lift Cap. : ~ 200 Kg

3. Standard Operating Procedure

a. Preparation Before Lifting Work
1) Check the condition of the Lifting Equipment
2) Welding Pad Eye to both end of pipe which will be lift but should have clearance from
grooving area.

3) Check shackle which will be use for lifting is in good condition

4) Check sling which will be use for lifting is in good condition and the SWL is bigger than
material weight which will be lifted.
5) All tie in must use shackle installed to the pad eye to ensure the tie in will not loose.
6) Make sure that workers are not working in below the lifting area.
7) The operator who operate Lifting Equipment should be expert/ certified to operate with
correct procedure.

4. Rigging

1) Rigging Method
Secure the hooks facing out, ensure shackle already lock, use sling with SWL over
than material weight.
